Little Katie, aka K.T. Leonard, is in the hospital in Florida with a bloodclot in the lungs. They think. Unfortunately, she has medical contraindications for the usual treatment for this condition, blood thinners, and she is in a lot of pain. She's been staying with her pastor lately, she's a Christian, and she would appreciate any prayers anyone might wish to make on her behalf.

Four hours a day would take about seven years to add up to 10,000. I think I became an expert at running BigCloset sometime about three years ago. :)

How many of you have become experts at something without quite realizing it?

Someone sent me a blog post to ask me if I thought they should post it. Thinking about what she wanted to say in her blog got me to thinking about timing and some things I need to say.

I've got a ton of stuff to do but I took the Fourth off to laze around at friends', eat, cook and talk. I came home last night and slept 10-1/2 hours, very unusual for me. Now I feel like crud, aches and pains all over, stuffed up sinuses and a sore throat. I'm going to take it easy today, do very little and hope I feel better tomorrow.

I'm spending a lot of time lately either hauling my Mom to and from doctor appointments or waiting for hours in doctors' offices. So please understand that I'm not able to give BC the nearly every hour attention I normally do.

The site has been slow this morning because of a harvester operating out of an IP address in Bratislava, Slovakia. Moreover, I took the server and website down three times while reconfiguring things to block this creep.

I'm up at my brother's in Northern California for a few days, Bob's helping me keep an eye on things and for that I'm thankful. :)

I've got some software setup on the new server to help create a community of authors and readers. Each member would have their own homepage, free, with quite a bit of control of how it looks, who can add to it and what appears there. I'd like to test this out before opening it up to everyone so if you are interested in trying it, send me a PM at Erin and I'll send you back the web address for trying this out.

We had a leak inside a wall that we were unaware of until it started making a circle of carpet wet. They came to fix it today and ripped a nice hole in the wall so they could replace the pipe, stirring up a fair amount of dust. I don't know what set me off, mold in the carpet or wall, the dust the workmen made or smoke from the fires on the mountains--I didn't think much about it til about 20 minutes ago when I almost passed out before realizing I was having an asthma attack. Good old inhaler put me right but of course now I've got a headache and I probably won't sleep tonight from the side effects. Better than a trip to the emergency room, though. :)

I'm better but still sick as two dogs, each of which is sicker than the other one. The antibiotics are clearing up the sinus infection but I still have a cold and sore throat, plus the meds leave me tired and feeling goofy.
