And the plot thickens
And the plot thickens
Brad Foster PI
Hmmm 'PI' Particularly Incompetent,
For a PI I would think it is a prerequisite to go unnoticed, the amount of cameras should have rung alarm bells, and as he had the bracelet system explained to him he should have realised there were more security measures that he had yet to see.

What colour is your belt in snark-fu?
Wonder ....
.... what plot twists will come out in the next chapter? Love how things are going for Queen Tessa and her loyal subjects!
And the Kudo button gets another solid swat from this reader!
I love
I love this story and the love that seems to pervade the kingdom of Queen Tessa. I hope not to see to much more of Mr. Foster as I can only see him possibly causing problems for her. It would be interesting to see Mr. Foster turn on his employer and turn his name over to Queen Tessa.

I guess...
I guess one Mr. Brad Foster is about to find out he needn't find himself back in Queen Tessa's Realm. Even if he's called in for a job interview, he should probably avoid going back to THAT park.
Badly Foster is up to no good
That's for sure. He's now flagged in the system & now has been beckoned by the Queen herself. Fake I'd fake info on an application well Dave & THE QUEEN WILL get what they want to know from him soon enough.
Love Samantha Renée Heart.
Not sure
Judging by old re runs of Magnum, PIs are meant to be visible. Spys too after all James Bond goes around introducing himself. Hmm who is the bad guy... lets see who tries to kill me.

As always ...
... too short.

Guess he missed that page
Guess he missed that page from his "matchbook" Private Investigator course. Never be seen doing something you are going to regret later.
Especially after you, yourself have noticed all the security cameras and a few other security systems in play.
Will be real interested in his made up background story when he is confronted by Queen Tessa, and even more so when he is told exactly who he is and what she thinks about it all.
that they know the detective was there is good
but will he come back?
he will be back
Brad Foster will be back because his arrogance won't let him stay away.
He believes that he is smarted than everyone else.
Besides our wonderful story Mistress won't let him
Like I've said before.......
If you take care of your troops, and I mean really care about them and they know it, then they will take care of you. Tessa seems to get that instinctively.
I always went out of my way to take care of my troops - they were my family. I still feel the same about my people even today. It takes very little to show people you care, but you have to mean it. If you fake it they will know, and that is the worst thing you can be - a fake and a liar.
I'm not sure where you find it, but your stories just keep getting better!

Bradley Foster
has, without a doubt, got to be the dumbest PI I've ever read about. Has he never heard of skip tracing, facial recognition, or any of the dozens of ways ID can be validated? When I worked for the Bank (Citibank) in Identity Theft / Loss Prevention / Cyber Crimes, we could find 10 different pieces of information on someone just by the alias they used. Throw in a (partial) social and birthdate, and the world opens up to you. We were actually trained by one of the best forgerers in the US, Frank Avagnale (the person on whom the movie Catch Me If You Can was based). I still run checks occasionally on people I find "questionable" from time to time, and you'd be amazed what just knowing a name, telephone number, etc. can bring about.

Cool!
I loved that movie, and I thought it was awesome that the Frank Avagnale went on in a career of crime prevention.
The P.I. did two really stupid things. One, once he noted the number of cameras he should have waited and hired someone else to go in and do a survey on them. Secondly, he shouldn't have stopped for more than a moment to look at Tessa. There was absolutely no need for him to stop and stare and risk drawing attention to himself.
BTW, as usual, this story is AWESOME. I'm really glad that we've reached the point where the park is open and the bad guys start to surface.
now why
Do I get the feeling that a certain Brad Foster is going to end up hung drawn and quartered , meterphorically speaking?
the fact is, doing the things and using the false ID. could make it appear he is some sort of predator ?
Queen Tessa would be well within her domain to report him to the police along with the survaliance footage welli have the feeling next time in the park he is toast .
really loving this story and the great characters that our lovely Authoress has created for our pleasure.
cannot wait to see what hjappens next chapter.

fixed
Works fine now, so I guess that was the problem.
No. The servers are overloaded.
The problem is that the five computers that serve BCTS are somewhat overwhelmed. So if the database server doesn't respond with the text of the story fast enough you get a zero length story. Refreshing your web page usually solves the problem.
Although...
...it may take a few minutes for the traffic level to come down and for the server to un-clog; worth waiting a bit rather than spamming "reload" and exacerbating the cause of the problem. :-)

Mr Foster
I just wonder what will happen when Queen Tessa gets the answers from Mr Foster, then gets her military involved in the operation, Alias her employees yearning to put their skills to use, which they had acquired in the service? I think a certain someone is going to wish he never stirred up this hornets nest, for I think this persons organization is going to be brought down, with all the people he has paid off and blackmailed.
This will be an even more awesome story, then it already is, if it heads that way, and I feel a lot of high government officials will be sweating their behinds off when they get found out. I will love to see the arrogant antagonist get so frustrated, because he will not get the info he wants to hear, and starts getting even more careless to get what he wants.
Go Queen Tessa!
Great read and awesome writing Snowfall. Keep up the good work.
Thumb screws, please
Oh Joe, just how dumb do you have to be to hire a PI who hasn't the slightest idea how to investigate? Brad only knows how to follow the odd stray husband or wife, or maybe the guy trying to pull a fast one on an insurance agency. But he's no match for Dave and the rest.
His first mistake was a ball cap and sunglasses. His second mistake was coming in alone. Had he brought a girlfriend and/or a niece or nephew, Dave and crew might not have paid him any attention. And marking camera positions on a map, in plain view of the cameras, dumb.
But his biggest mistake was taking an interest in Queen Tessa. Biiiggg mistake, with how her staff love her. Brad's been tagged, and is going to be schooled by a Queen in the finer points of investigating. He doesn't know it, but his fly is open and he's about to lose it.
Others have feelings too.
Brad's sunk
Before he's really started - pretty much everything he did in terms of investigative work set off alarm bells within Security, and now he's effectively red-flagged for when he next visits. Heck, he could even be the unwitting star of a training video - no doubt even school children on seeing the wide angle footage would probably suss he was up to no good...
