Once back at Sam’s place I set about making a bit of dinner. As we ate, I went over with Sam what had occurred with Sarah so that Sam would know if any questions arose. Since tomorrow was going to be my last full day with Sam we also discussed what the future might bring. Sam was very adamant that I come back as Barbara. He said that it had been the most uplifting time that he had had in years.
I blushed at the compliment and told him that I would have to think about it since there were some other things going on in my life at the time. As I got up to start the cleanup Sam got up and gave me a hug which reassured me of his continued support. After finishing up in the kitchen I sat down across from him in the lounge as he was watching something on the TV. Seeing that I wanted to talk he turned the TV off.
I started, “Sam I want to really thank you for allowing me to be Barbara while I am here.”
He was about to say something but I held out my hand to let me continue, “expressing myself as a woman for an extended length of time has been a dream for me. Being Barbara is what I have felt for many years and have had limited opportunities to express myself. I hope that you have seen me as woman all the time I have been here.”
“Since you have arrived, I have not seen anyone except a woman here.”
“Was I what you were expecting?”
He paused and I could tell he was composing his answer. “No not really, I did expect that you would present an outwardly female appearance, but I expected it to be a bit camp. It took me by surprise when I first saw your pictures of you and that I thought you were just a woman that you had pictures of but we already covered that. Getting back to what I experienced was that after the first few moments of you being here, I thought of you of as a woman.”
Being curious about his statement of me being camp I asked, “so what made you come to the conclusion that I was more natural in my presence?”
“Well first your voice was so naturally a woman’s, not only in the way it sounded but in the way you spoke. At one point I was about to call you my daughter’s name since you sounded so much like her. Then it was the way that you presented yourself. No overt gestures, although there were some very erotic feminine gestures on your part.” With that he turned a bit red.
“The way you conducted yourself with other women and even flirting a bit with my friends. Until now I haven’t even thought of your male persona. I hope that is making it clear.”
“I think I understand what you are saying but I do have my doubts, do you actually see me as a woman or just a tranny in a dress?”
Without saying another word he came over and leaned into me and gave me a hug. For my part I just started to tear up and cried a bit on shoulder.
“See that is just what I meant that is what any woman would do, just get all emotional and begin to cry.” He whispered to me.
I got up and returned the hug which we held for quite a few moments. It was then that I moved my head and looked into his eyes. Instinctively I tilted my head back and slightly to the side and I felt his lips on mine.
We kissed and I felt his tongue exploring my mouth as he pulled me close. After what seemed almost an hour we pulled apart.

“I haven’t kissed a woman like that for some time. Thanks Barb.”
As we sat down again, I took his hand as we sat next to each other on the sofa and I spoke. “So, where does that bring us? I can’t offer you some of the things that a natural woman could but there are other ways you know.”
Then thinking about the concerns Sarah had about the relationship I added. “There is your daughter who is concerned about any relationship that you might have and also from what I got from Sarah Sally’s and Hanks daughter. I would love to come back if you will have me, but I also have other obligations that I must meet.”
“I would love to have you come back but yes we need to keep this at least platonic to the outside and let it rest with that. What you have given me so far is a lightness that I have not felt since Oliva passed. You can’t replace her but you sure lighten the loss that I have felt. I don’t think that I have smiled so much since you have been here.”
“Thanks Sam I appreciate that.”
We sat for a bit not really saying anything then Sam said, “the guys would like to see you, that is my lunch buddies would like to see you again before you go. Is that okay?”
“Sure, I have no problems with that.”
“Since you are leaving the day after tomorrow lunch then tomorrow?’
“Yes, I am fine with that.”
“Good I just need to confirm the time. Also, would you mind going out to dinner with Hank and Sally tomorrow night sort of a farewell?”
It seems Sam was saving a few of these questions for the last minute. Fortunately, I really did not have anything planned and it would be good to see everyone before my carriage turned back into a pumpkin. I replied, “that would be delightful.”
Sam then went to get his phone and make the necessary reservations. The recent inter personal activities had drained me so I decided that I needed an early night. I gently gave Sam a peck on the cheek as he was on the phone and headed off to bed.
