Chapter Five – Cruella DeVille

Candi attends the selection for flight stewards where she meets the wicked Megan DeVille, Senior Flight Attendant for Goldwing Airlines, and chairman of the flight steward selection committee. It's quite the battle where the selectee's are bitchy and malevolent to each other as the 16 jostle for the 10 positions available. Candi befriends Millie and they help each other through the selection process. John Benstead meets Candi outside of the of Goldwing Building when selections are completed and they celebrate her success.

Leslie stood close to Casey as they danced out on the dance floor. She couldn’t believe she had finally had her operation and had married Casey. She had done what Casey suggested and froze as much semen as she could possibly produce. She has been on hormone replacement therapy for so long, she didn’t know if she could even produce any. She took Casey’s last name as her own.

Introduction: This story is the third, the penultimate, in a series within a series. The overall series is the “Cynthia Chronicles”. This story is directly connected to “Simoné and the Second Time Around” and “Marti and the Doppelganger”. The latter left many unanswered questions. Some of those will be answered, some probably not. There are many references to previous stories in the series. If you are confused by some of them, just put it off to my senility. The Cynthia Chronicles takes place in a universe very similar to ours. Unfortunately, it might be too similar.

For any who read “Myrna and the Genetic Disaster”, this is the same story, only with the political rantings and scientific explanations removed. There may also have been a few edits and additions.

This is the eighth part of ten or maybe eleven. I had considered reorganizing the last few chapters of the story as there is quite a bit of skipping around and going back and forth in time. I decided the heck with it and left them as they were.

The girls take a short road trip to Chico, California to visit Rhonda and her family. There is a lot of bonding.

Sabrina looks towards the lake from the swing she was sitting in. The cool night breeze causes some loose strands of her golden bronze color hair to flutter. Tears stream down from her eyes as she wonders what she is going to do. She had 30 days to leave the apartment she had because she couldn’t afford to pay the rent.
