Part 22

When I woke up I was in another world. It was a world of pains, strange feelings, more pain, indignities and pain killers that did not seem to work. Birgitta was staying with her cousin of a cousin and came to see me every day. I was very glad that no-one else saw me in this state. I was not a happy person for a week or more.

There are some days in the middle of winter that are perfectly described using a single word. That word is ‘Dreich’. It is a Scottish word that means one or more of the following, ‘Bleak, miserable, dismal, cheerless and dreary.' If you add a biting wind that comes from straight from the Arctic ocean and you get the idea about just how it was that day.

If I’d have had any say in the matter, I’d have been in a pub with a big log fire, some good food and more than a few pints of good beer. But I didn’t have any say in what I had to do that day.

Chapter 7b

Running into his arms, I burst into tears. He chuckled and held me for a long few moments. I can’t begin to describe how totally comforting it felt. Then I felt one of his arms leave me. The next thing I knew Sammie was also being hugged by my dad. He even kissed her forehead!

“Oh daddy…” I sobbed…happily. “It’s so good to see you.”

Chapter 24.

Wishes was sitting at the kitchen table when I came into the kitchen with several bags of groceries. Dropping the bags with a sigh of relief I leant over and gave Wishes a soft kiss.

"Hello love, I didn't expect you to be home yet." I pulled back as I noticed the worried expression on her beautiful face. "What's up love?"

"Linda, I, I want to talk about our future a bit." Wishes stammered.

I sat heavily in the chair opposite her, a sudden chill in my stomach.

This chapter focuses on how Skyler deals with his changes both physically and mentally.

Clair was woken up from the sleep she just managed to get. Her new husband has been making love to her all afternoon and part of the evening as well. She looks down between her legs and spots Rebecca laying between her legs, licking her. Stan was still knotted in her.

“What are you doing between my legs, Rebecca?” Clair was curious why she was there.

Rebecca looks up at Clair with a smile on her face “tasting you. It is common practice for a new couple to be tasted by the pack. Unfortunately, no one follows the ancient tradition anymore.”

Erica and Lola learn from Callie that they will be required to testify across the pond. Knowing the situation with guns over there, they are not entirely happy.

I really should have known what a mistake it was to try to drown my sorrows after being dumped (again). And this time I had made such efforts to make it work.

I really shouldn’t have let Rolf take me to a bar to seek oblivion in the bottom of a glass, or more precisely lots of glasses.

We really shouldn’t have tried to chat up those two freshman girls from The Other University and thus by definition losers.

The only good thing was that Rolf had chosen a bar where we were unknown and unlikely to meet anyone we knew nor ever to return.

Leader of the Pack Part 5

We had a good dinner and I was starting to appreciate the finer things in life. He told me to call him Jim and introduced me to the finer points of a good whiskey. When it got to the point of why we were here, in the city, and not down south there was a strained silence until I decided that we should really come clean.

“Of course it’s me. Tell them to let me up.”

The next two weeks the band does four gigs and head home. Even Lisa was worn out from the pace they had been keeping. She had to buy a new box of drum sticks from a music store after their third gig. One of her sticks had split right in half while she was performing. Luckily for her she had a spare on hand.

She looks over towards Lindsey and notices she was sound asleep on the sofa across from her. Kaja was sitting at the small table with her laptop opened working on inventory and sales. Jamie and Cindy were in the back of the bus asleep.

After we had kissed the guys goodnight we walked back to the apartment. Kelly was very quiet and went straight into the toilet when we let ourselves in. When she came out she remarked that it had been fun getting screwed standing up but the juices tended to run down her leg as we walked home.

Hatter and Shade meet up with Terry at the coordinates several hours later. The ramp on the back of Rhino opens and they pull inside. Once they were loaded, Terry starts heading towards a property that Bart’s company owns. There was supposed to be a transport waiting for them there to take them back to New York.

Shade looks over towards Hatter, after securing his motorcycle “did you have some fun?”

Hatter had a big ole smile on her face, as she lifts her helmet off. She looks over towards Shade “oh yes! I even took pictures.” She hands the camera she used to Shade.

Balnoor snorted “No way!” He folded his arms and carried on “it would never work, you must be mad. Besides, I am a proud Indian man and proud Indian men would never stoop to that level!”

Tavleen glared at him and said “So you think that being a woman is a lower level, just like all those haughty rapist men in the old country?” “No, I didn’t mean it like that” he was on the back foot from her attack. I said “OK. Proud Indian Man, just take a look around the table and tell me what you see.”
