Poor Cathy
It just doesn't get any easier, does it? She needs a month or so on a nice warm tropical beach. I know I do, and I'm only reading her story!
Queens of the cliffhangers
Thanks Angharad and Bonzi
Somehow, I didn't think it'd be too long before we had another one. It will be interesting to see how Julie's father is changed as a result of the healing.
I'm also looking forward to Cathy's training of Julie in the culinary arts. As Beverly rightly observed yesterday, confidence in one area leads to confidence in others, and Julie really needs a 'can do' attitude.

I had kinda figured that the
I had kinda figured that the man would be Julie's father. I think the blackness wrapping around him was from all the hate, anger, evilness, and bigotry, he had built up over the years. The description kind of fits the blackness and dark shadows in the movie "Ghost" that would come and get an evil person at their death. I am glad that Trish and Julie get along so well, as they are special sisters in kind, regardless of their age differences. Jan
I'd like to say that I expected it but
guess the serious clues just passed me by. Wonder if Cathy has erased the blackness that was surrounding him. Hope she's learned how to interpret some of what the "power" shows her. Agree that the blackness has to be the hate and lack of understand he was showing. Hoping that Cathy can just be escorted out of the hospital with neither parent knowing what she did. Let him try to figure out the angel that was guiding him in his dreams. Maybe let him listen to that angel and heal more than the heart attack. Kind of poetic justice that he had a heart attack. I guess it proves that he has one.
I can't say it's a surprise
I can't say it's a surprise who Cathy was healing, but will Julie's mom put two and two together and figure out Cathy is the healer and cause trouble? You truly are the Queen of Cliffhangers Angharad! I bow to your superior skill! ^_^

Ah, the Blue Light just might be out to do some special healing. Evidently, Cathy can heal more than physical injuries, but it takes longer, and drains her, too. Will be most interesting to see what happens, next.
May Your Light Forever Shine
May Your Light Forever Shine
Thought that would happen
I could foresee Cathy having to restore life and Hopefully sense into Julie's father. Perhaps her mother needs a dose too, with her "what's she doing here". Maybe not as biased as her husband but certainly seems to be heading that way
Hopefully father will now see that his child is a special person, and not just another stereotype. Now that he has "seen the light"
Keep up the good work

Natural Justice
...thwarted!
Maybe not
What would be best for Julie? A dead father, or a father who now loves and accepts her.
Sometimes, justice is best served by a healthy dose of healing and forgiveness. Revenge is all too often futile and harmful. It only serves to provide a temporary sense of satisfaction.
Ooops!
Don't yah just love it when a plan goes all ratshit on yeh.
This kid's just gorra be one of the most off the wall characters on the planet.
What the hell is that stupid mother - woman going to say if she finds out about the miracle healer. What the hell is Julie going to say if she ever finds out. Let's just hope the blue light cures the man's soul (if there is such a thing,) as well as his body. Then Julie might just get some support from her parents for once. Be nice if it came to that but I doubt it. The blue light seems to be about curing bodies not minds.
If I were Cathy, I'd get clear of there ASAP, and be stronger when Ken next comes a-beggin.
It's going to be interestin' seein' where Angharad's going with this.
Can't wait.

Hmmm, white light?
I only vaguely recall that there may have been a white light in a previous episode. Blue is for healing but what is white? Oh, I can guess of course but it will be interesting to see what it does.
Does Cathy have another force to contend with, requiring the white, in the future?

Riiiiight
Of course it was Julie's dad that Cathy helped. Murphy strikes again, or in this case it could have been Loki who did it. This kind of trick is more his style anyway.
Cathy also needs to watch out for the people at WalMart. Wally World is the type of company that wouldn't take lightly to Cath's borrowing of their "Blue Light Specials". (snicker, snicker)
Interesting point
Julie's personal efforts to Blue Light someone may very well have been her trying to do harm to her father, give him a helping hand down the stairwell etc. She may have it and not know it?
That's Kmart You're Thinking Of
Your thinking of Kmart. It remains to be seen if the blue light has overtaken and replaced the darkness that was in his soul. There is no doubt that he was filled with pure evil. It would be nice if he woke up a completely changed man. The white light is a light of protection that is called up to prevent evil energy from entering. She knew that she needed to protect herself before she started.
I saw that one comming...
... a mile away.
Now, the story could go a lot of ways from here. So many possibilities. The "nice" answer would be they believe that Cathy actually saved the dad's life and are grateful. And, this helps them look at HER in a new light, which helps them to see / love their DAUGHTER.
They could also believe it, but take it as an act of the devil or use it against Cathy for taking away their son... Or not believe it at all, and try to accuse Cathy of causing the problem?
Tough! Wow...
You know, I think Cathy really needs to get a new phone number... :-)
Thanks,
Annette
Lets for a moment
try and put ourselves in Julie's shoes and imagine what she will feel like when she finds out about her father....Will she be angry that Cathy appears to have saved his life?.....Or will a daughters love for her father come shining through? Either way the loser could be Cathy.....If as seems more likely Julie is angry then it follows her anger could be directed at the person who saved him ! On the other hand if Julie's dad comes back as a changed man Cathy could lose a daughter that she has come to love......(Actually Cathy might not mind that too much IF tne dad has REALLY changed.)

A month on a beach
A good idea, but Cathy might quickly become bored, with no crisis to deal with.
So just how did Julie's dad get those injuries?

If Cathy tried to relax on a beach
trouble would come to her.
Drowning then a sharkbite
So exactly how would the blue light help a shark bite?
Cathy has it wrong
I must disagree with Cathy about "multitasking not being possible" - of course, it depends what people mean by that, to some extent, and upon who.
According to expert opinion that i read somewhere, the last US President was unable to watch the Telly, lay on a sofa, and chew a pretzel, all at the same time. However, the average woman, including one who found herself in that condition through unusual pathways, like Cathy, can oversee 6 kids, prepare dinner, think about a mammal survey, write fiction, heal someone, and walk on water, all at the same time with no difficulty whatever!
Admittedly, if one attemps too many of some things at once, one does them all less well than if one concentrates on one of them, thus, telephoning and driving a car simultaneously, or driving and smoking at the same time, are more likely to result in accidents.
Actually, it is more difficult to concentrate on only one thing at a time than to multitask.
Just think, in 99 days from now, some time in May, we will have 1 000 episodes to re-read!
Angaharad, you are amazing and we all admire you!

Multitasking
I a feminine trait besides, according to the research I've seen.
I see no reason Julie won't be able to do it.
I'm afraid this is one of those occasions ...
... when I burst out laughing at Angharad's writing. I think it's delight at her twisted imagination. I confess I was taken completely by surprise. I should know better but I don't. Lovely stuff and it's what keeps me coming back for more.

Did you ever have a love/hate relationship with an author ?
Quick, run back in and get the blue light back, mistakes happen, oops we thought he was doing better, but
Evil Author, evil, evil.
Here's a quicky, Cath. wash and scrub a potato well. dry and wrap in saran, microwave 8 min. carefully unwrap. They are nice and fluffy like from the oven, and you can eat the skins, the healthy part.(know taters,1/2 Irish)
