We settle down and I slip to the kitchen for some bottles of water and cans of apple juice, Dad always has it on hand that or tomato I’m okay with either but orange is my favorite.

I check up on the roast and it’s cooking away nicely everything else can wait…the real trick I’ve always seen on TV for a roast like this is sear it and get a crust onto it and then cook it long and slow so it’s juicy and tender. It’s just starting to change smells from the smoke and meat to roasting smoke kissed meat.

I grin at it. This is my first really big roast just like last time was my first big turkey that I’ve cooked. And there is a really feminine pride at me doing this now that I’m able to recognize it.

I microwave us two bags of popcorn too and head back down to the room and they’re all talking tuning again and playing around with words and riffs. Rayne has out this old toddlers chalk board that Dad had put here for us to use and she’s writing sheet music for the girls to play and try out.

The mood is a lot lighter with the four of us since Billy and the guys had taken off to make things right with those two guys. I feel like there’s been a weight taken off of me and I can see how happy Brooklyn is.

When she was over there mixing paint with Uncle Mitch I swear she was almost giving off that vibe of nothing good that happens to me ever lasts.

I kind of can really get behind that feeling. My life back when I was Jason was just so much like one hit after another sometimes.

It’s been pretty much business as usual for the last couple of days since I found out about my dad and where he was buried and stuff and it’s been going to school and classes and Alex and I getting back to work too and him with his football stuff and it’s funny the whole thing about anal sex that Jen and I were talking about did end up with some very happy looking boyfriends and several girls that had ended up walking like they wiped their butts with a cactus.

I’m getting stared at and Chris and Ryan are looking at me like I’m a bit crazy. “No seriously guys it’s alive.”

I see something inside it swirling like mist or water then there’s this shape like a head there but it’s semi triangular and there’s the flare of stormy blue eyes.

They’re all looking at it now and Chris is frowning at it. “That mage character that mixed it up with the students had this thing.”

“It’s full of negative chi hon.” Sasha/Saber says with a thoughtful expression on her face. “Demon?”

And with this whole thing of me discovering who I am as Angel and figuring out that I’m transgendered it never really occurred to me to think about that. Like where I fit into the women of the family.

Jeff’s actually cute as he’s glaring at me and then the money and then the spiked mace. It’s actually a little bit funny even as he’s trying to turn over all of this in his head and I can almost see that trying to be a logical, reasonable, normal person about this.

He actually does come over after making me another cup of coffee and we sit and after a minute or too of quietness he says. “Pass the black bean beef please?”

I’m mad…I’m mad and sort of feeling a bit sick in my heart about finding out about this. Iggy was abused and I know I wasn’t in a good place myself then struggling with what and who I was but I just can’t help but really feel bad even a little guilty about me being that self absorbed back then that I couldn’t see the pain there?

I was over there at her place more than a few times and I never noticed the way that she interacted with him.

And just the thought of that sick bastard finding out about my daughter has my stomach churning in this…

God the thought of it just disgusts me.

I hit, punch the wall with one hand a few times as I head back downstairs. No it’s not my guy side rising up. I don’t have a guy side anymore instead I have a Mom side. She’s fresh right out of the package but that’s the person that just punched a hole in the drywall.

Taylor sat up and put on his shirt. It was still odd, after several months of being a cat, how comfortable it felt to wear clothing again. He reached over for his jeans and pulled them up his legs.

Anyone watching would be amazed at the way he moved. He was unintentionally deliberate, with a natural kind of sinuous grace that would be the envy of the most skilled ballerina. He was slipping on his shoes when she called.

I get myself ready with a light shower and just getting into some comfortable underwear and stuff as the girls are getting ready to head over to Dad’s we’re having Sunday dinner there and hopefully it’ll be a weekly thing. Two more mouths to feed too and they’re guys. The roast is big enough as long as I make extras of the other stuff.

Tracy looked around the room. The room was big enough to fit two twin sized beds in it, plus a desk, thin, but tall dresser, bookcase and a bean-bag chair. Tracy pondered moving things around for a moment, but then decided against it. “I don't want to change your house all around.”

Frank got down on one knee and looked her in the eyes. “Tracy, this is your house, till your parents get here. You want to nail the beds to the ceiling, we'll do it. I don't know if it will hold, but we'll do it.” She giggled at the thought of a bed on the ceiling.

I am writing it in chapters because I don't know how the whole thing will play out yet but I felt the need to post it. Chapter two is longer then the first and it was supposed to come tomorrow since my muse had abandoned me, but just when I thought I was going to bed she came back.
