There are a lot of questions about the old woman. Where did she come from? Why is her power limited to gender changes? What is the secret she is concealing from Anya? How does she know the SRU wizard? After much time with the BB story universe, it is time to answer some of the questions.

I would like to thank Ellie for helping keep the Beach true to its intent. I'd also like to thank those authors who have chosen to play in my little story universe, especially Danielle J, who has not only written so well, but has also been a great inspiration to my own stories. Also, Bill Hart has given me permission to use the SRU wizard in the manner I describe herein.

Anya meets a friend from her childhood. The joy is overshadowed by unpleasant memories being dredged up on all sides.

There have been a lot of questions and speculation about the background of the old woman and Anya, her granddaughter. I came up with this little tale to answer some of the questions. There are still questions lingering — after all, we all love a little mystery.

It was a few stares and a bit of quiet for the rest of the bus ride home. She got off the bus with Angie. She shouldered her backpack and started up the lane. Angie wasn’t too long coming up from behind huffing from trying to catch up.

“Hey…”

“Hey, how was you’re day?”

“Not as interesting as yours.”

“So you guys heard it too huh?”

“About how my sister’s a lesbian?”

Iggy’s looking not that well as she looks at me and she looks at the cops and she sort of pulls herself up to where she’s sitting and she’s pulling her legs up. I sit beside her and she does this little lead against me and I slip an arm around her behind her back.

She’s quiet for awhile and just looking at her I can see her pulling away and getting distant like she’s lost inside her head.

“Iggy?”

“I was five…? I think when he first started…he’d tell me I was pretty…told me that I was special his perfect little girl.”

My dad looks at me then at my mom and he rolls his eyes and says

. “I’m going to the living room. I love you both but I am not mentally prepared in any way shape or form to have my wife talking to my son about sex toys.”

It’s almost funny except that I kind of am right with him on this one. Some things y’know just should have barriers.

Not with mom.

“Come lets take these things to your room.”

“Okay…this is more than a little weird.”

I sighed. "Okay, then. Let's talk about a story. Let's say we both just started reading a story, a ghost story. And in this story a man named Ben sees a ghost named May. Not in real life; just a story. In that story, what would Ben do?"

Claudia's lips tightened, and she looked angry.

I’m surprised at the call and I roll over onto my back. Wow…okay even after some time and everything I’m still sort of feeling loose and yayish inside after Gwen.

“Hey, what’s up Sophie?”

“Did I call late?”

“No, no I’m good just got home from Gwen’s.”

“Oh…”

“Yeah…” She didn’t so much as say or ask if we’re together as much as getting her own idea. “We uhm…yeah.”

“Okay…”

“Are you alright its Saturday night and you’re calling me.”

“So?”

“I just figured you’d be out.”

“I was, he was kind of lame.”

“Lame?”

A private eye searches for a kidnapped girl and ends up getting mixed up with a dangerous cult and the dark god they worship.
