Chapter 27

“Ugnh!” Is the first thing out of my mouth and I’ve no idea how I’m not swearing. I hurt in about six or seven spots and there’s this smell on me. There’s kids and a few parents panicking and I hear dad.

“Jenna!, Jenna! Are you alright?!”

“Yeah, I’m…” I look at my arms and it’s splattered with bright yellow.
It’s paint.
Paint.
They shot at Hunter with paintball guns.

I look down at Hunter who’s bawling her eyes out and hugging my waist until dad’s there in a flash. I pass her to him and start running.

It was Friday before I could practice again, I`d tried a couple of times since I got home but couldn`t concentrate, I had to ring Julie about rehearsals tonight because I had forgotten were we doing it.

As soon as we arrived at the church hall everyone was asking how I was, was I ok to rehease?, I assured them that except for a slight headache I was fine.
