After the excitement of the last days, Mercy hopes for a quiet Sunday.
Her only responsibility is the meeting with Michelle and Melanie in the afternoon.
However, waking up she is quick to notice that things are bound to not go as planned.

But Victoria's plans are thoroughly messed up when a mysterious woman shows up at her doorstep.
To make matters worse the woman asks rather pointily questions.

Cornered by Victoria Mercy had leashed out against her. But, in the end, Victoria's determination broke through to Mercy and managed to pull her off from a path of self-destruction.

But not all was well in the end. Mercy might have ruined her mentoring deal with Mavis, who just had shared a story of her past with Mercy.

Mercy had a rough couple of days and now it looks to be getting worse.
Wil she manage or will she drown in it?

At school the next day the trip and its events were still major topics among both staff and students. Many others were also discussing those events, but we'll leave them out of this for now.

It was three days before Christmas and Karen was getting anxious. This was going to be her first real Christmas. She has been living with Betty and sleeping with her ever since Sasha had informed her that he wasn’t going to renew the lease on his apartment. At first it had been a disappointment to her, because even though she was working full time at the paint store, she wasn’t making enough money on her own to pay the rental fee or the bills. Then when Betty had offered to let her stay with her, she jumped at the offer. She was already willing to do whatever Betty asked of her.

Lupita stands near Black Wolf as they waited in line at the grocery store. She looks around as she thinks about the past two weeks. Everything had been turned upside down on her. Everything she thought she knew meant nothing now. Even her own body had been changed. She has been merged with the female elf she found in the snow storm. She had all her memories and skills along with her own. She didn’t know how it happened, but her spirit had been placed in the female Elf’s body, while her own body was destroyed.

Lupita watches as the snowflakes fall and cover the ground. She was watching the flakes fall from the doorway of a shelter she had found. It wasn’t much, but it would allow her to get out of the weather. It was an old guard shelter that was no longer used. It had a small stables attaché to it for horses and there was still some hay in it that was good. The shelter wasn’t very big, but had enough room to hold four people. It had a hand pump for water and a wood stove for cooking. The fire place was big enough to warm the shelter.
