Chapter Two – From This to This

We explore where the Essex Slasher came from and how he came to be, meanwhile WPC Glenda Savage uses her feminine wiles to convince the Chief Constable to appoint her to a Special Crime Investigation. Ruffe's stories in the paper attract the Slasher's attention and could put Charlie, who still recovering in hospital, in further danger.

Chapter One – Better Off Dead

Charlie is a transvestite prostitute working the streets of Chelmsford in 1975. She is a sweet girl made hard by life on the streets. Charlie is also unlucky enough to become a 'Flaming Girl'. This is part-one of a six-part thriller following Charlie as she helps the police chase down the man who desires the Flaming Girls so much so that he must possess their very being.

The title was originally a spam subject, snatched up as part of Malinov's "Exploding Nipples" contest in 1997-1998. I didn't actually write the story until years later, in 2006. Thanks to Denny Wheeler for proof-reading and catching some unfortunate blunders in the original ASSM post.

A Boy visits a Girl for a planned movie and dinner. Things get hot.

Chapter Four – A Fresh Start

Mila and Peter's marriage of convenience blossoms into into something else but the sinister sexual undercurrent that seeps through Redhaven and the Sons of Jehovah is never far away, even when they are not there, as Mila finds out when transiting though LAX.

Chapter Two – Becoming Mila

Miles is transformed into Mila by Steven Boutros who becomes fascinated by the beautiful creature he has created. Meanwhile Mila's husband is preparing to move them both to Redhaven, a religious community where misogyny rules and an undercurrent of sexual tension pervades.

The night before the teleport cycle, they switched back.
Linnea found it a bit disorienting, being back in her own body again.
She saw what Darlene meant by a mess of weird sensations.
She caught herself wondering whether living in a synth body was the better deal.
Alarmed, she shook off the question and tried to forget it.

Chapter Seven – Heads or Tales

The Sleeping Beauty Killer is spiraling out of control. The power and domination that he projects over his family leads him to a very dark place. Penelope decides that drastic action is needed if they are ever going to catch the serial killer. This is the final chapter of this dark tale.

Chapter Five – Felicity’s Proposition

The Sleeping Beauty Killer strikes again but this time there is someone who who figures out his identity because of media coverage of the case. Lieutenant Silvia Bickle has to provide an interview to an old flame which turns out to be quite confrontational and Penelope and Bradley are still having problems with their relationship.

Chapter Three – Teacher’s Pet

Now that the cops realise that they have serial killer on their hands they bring in an FBI profiler who Penelope at first dislikes because she thinks she is losing control of the case. Her drinking causes her more problems but maybe the new guy can help her with that. We get an insight into the serial killer's home life.

Chapter Two – She Devil

Transgender cop Penelope Bishop and her partner Silvia Bickle continue to look for their sex-crazed killer whilst Penelope is battles her own inner demons. The crime scene is unique and frustrating and Penelope hits a new low, even for her.

Moss felt an enormous sense of gratitude when Barfield raised his head and asked his guards, “Do you think I could get a cup of coffee?”

“Uh… yeah,” the first guard said, and Moss could see the two guards mentally struggle to find a joke connecting coffee and Uranus.

Chapter Six – Endgame

Adele wrestles with whether to tell Celia what happened to her in the mountain shack and does a little investigative work on her own. Adele and Celia are under pressure to lodge their case as Tammy's health deteriorates. This is the final chapter.

Takeout boxes stuffed with Thai food caked the tables on either side of the room. Warren alternated between eating his food and examining the bracelet that Trash Knuckle handed him. It was golden with a set of green jewels embedded in it. Their strange had ally found it while raiding one of the last pocket dimensions belonging to a band of evil mystics, which was now powerless. It was strange that they would have had this.

“You said this turns you into a beautiful woman?” Warren asked.

Chapter Three – Pretty Pink Panties

Adele meets the town's hunky sheriff who is one of the few people in town to offer her assistance. He takes her dancing at the Lazy Ace Saloon and afterwards things get hot.

Chapter 01

Ohm Wire stuck the landing after hopping a stone wall with an iron gate at the top. She made it. It was damn near a shame there was no audience present to congratulate her on the performance, but that came with the territory of scouting the outskirts of town at night, even somewhere as lively as Paragon.

Chapter Two – Happy Weather

Celia enlists the help of a young hippie lawyer while Adele drives to Missionville with Tammy Peak and her daughter Kimberly and discovers an unsettling secret.

First I should mention a caveat as far as Halloween goes. It used to fall on October 31 in ancient times but since the new world took hold a few hundred years ago, the calendar has been changed to a strict 364 day schedule so everything always falls on the same day of the week, thus now Halloween takes place on October 28 which is always a Saturday to allow the kids to go trick or treating basically.

Barfield was silent, weighed down by the enormity of his choice.
Yesterday, he couldn’t have found Uranus with a map, and
now he was being asked to live there forever.
He could get out of prison, but only at the cost of his freedom.
