Chapter one.

 I was having a peaceful dream about a night I had when I was still in college.

I don't remember this girls name but I remember her, we were dancing and just about to kiss when the alarm went off.

I opened my groggy eyes and looked at the clock, it wasn't my alarm but my phone, looking at the clock and mentally groaning as it showed 3:16 am.

I answered my phone, "Doctor Peters, who is this"? 

"Pete, sorry but my phone died and i ha....

My name is Erica Lakehurst. This is my story. I doubt anyone will believe it, but I need to tell someone. Here is as good a place as any to start. It's a difficult story to tell and even harder to accept, but I hope it will strike a note with at least a few readers...

Part Nine

I suppose it must have come as something of a shock for The Boy Next Door. He and his family had moved in only a few weeks before, and when his mother sent him over to borrow a cup of sugar, the last thing he expected to see was a pair of firm, young bottom-cheeks staring him dead in the face.

Yeah, I know that sounds crazy, but I've always thought the cancan was an extremely sexy dance; the idea of whirling across a stage with my skirt raised to my chin made my heart race every time it crossed my mind...

A cryogenic experiment, A brave volunteer starts to dream about being the opposite sex. Is it malfunctioning equipment or intentional or something entirely different all together.

Sometimes it is easy to see how the dots join up in your life when you look back, but if someone at the beginning of a journey said this is where you will end up you would not believe them.

Chapter 2

The obvious answer was to take this body to my mother. My mother was an amazing woman. I was seven when my mother managed to get away from my father and take us, including my five-year-old sister, to a woman's shelter. We moved to another city and started with nothing, but my mother worked hard and I can honestly say we never lacked anything we needed. My sister wanted more, but she got everything she needed.

Prologue Michael's Point of View (POV)

I was sitting in my alleyway feeling sorry for myself. Despite these negative thoughts that I just couldn't push away, I was still very aware of my surroundings. When you have been a war zone, some part of you never quite believes that you have left. Surprises had made me react instinctively and violently which is why I was in this alleyway and away from anyone I could hurt accidentally.

Chapter 54 – Mariner’s school

The ship finally reached port the following day and was able to land at WestPort on the morning incoming tide. They had been present for the outgoing tide and saw no less than five whalers leaving port: the whaling season was on again.

Before I knew it, I was being hugged.

Even before I opened my eyes, I knew that it was my mother hugging me. She had that lovely ‘Mum’ smell, a trace of perfume and that indefinable trace of something else that was unique to Mum.

‘What is it honey?’

I pulled myself together, just a bit.

“Do you spell police with two ells as well as pronounce it that way, Geoff?” asked Paul.

“Joe, would you hand me the nine sixteenths box end?" Came the request from under the ATV.

“Let me find it. I found it. Here daddy, by your right leg." I tapped him on the leg with the wrench.

An arm came out from under the ATV with the palm open faced up. I laid the wrench in his hand.

“The whole thing is turning. Need another nine sixteenths.”

Connie begins to adapt to her new life...

This is a true story. It doesn't matter if you believe me.

When I was small I met an angel.

I was standing in a field with tall grass, sunflowers and dandelions. I don’t know how I got there, and didn’t care. The sun warmed my chubby arms, and a gentle breeze blew the grass so that it tickled under my dress.

There’s another thing that was strange but wasn’t; I was wearing a dress - canary yellow, with thin straps over the shoulder. Not the kind of thing I could wear at home; not the kind of thing I was allowed.
