Previously: Dr Sam Greyson was kidnapped by Yvonne Logan and her group. During the kidnapping Thomas and Yvonne met for the first time since she was sent to quarantine. The meeting was brief and Yvonne left the scene with Sam in the car. I awoke to the feeling of fingers on my chest. I hadn't even remembered falling asleep after Madam Selene left me for the night. I'd had no intention to drift so quickly, but as it turned out, the allure of a warm bed to sleep in after many nights spent in a cage was too much to overcome.

But what was this? This rhythmic poking of my chest by what felt like foreign fingers.

I opened my eyes abruptly to find two girls leaning over me. The one to whom the fingers belonged kept pushing it against my chest through the soft fabric of the linen dress.

Everyone in the genetics field had said that it was impossible, but that impossibility was what drove me to try and succeed. I had successfully made the gender swap with male rats. Then with several male chimpanzees, since they share 98.7% of their genetic material with humans. The transformations were complete, in that the males became fully female. The question was of whom to experiment with among humans.

It may sound crazy, but I answered the phone as her. It was my first femme week of the year, and when I was her, I tried to live her life entirely. Besides, there is something about pulling your phone out of your handbag and daintily sliding a long painted nail across the screen to green, that just keeps her voice on your tongue.

The women beside me could only hold my attention for a brief moment. I'd noted that, despite looking in better condition than the other captives, they still looked just as worn out emotionally. And out of the three of them, only one had presence enough to pay me any mind, but my attention was needed elsewhere.
