I shook my head. “You’re not going to convince me to not try to save you, Lisa. We will figure out a way to get in there. You just have to trust me.”

I grabbed Lisa’s hand and pulled her into the mansion, gasping for air, and slammed the door behind us. I looked back at her; a mixture of pool water and sweat dripped down her face. She was shivering and I wasn’t sure if it was from being cold or from being scared.

“What’s going on out there, Steph?!” she demanded, holding back tears. “What were those things?!”

Chapter 3

Brandy leads my out of her place dressed and to her car. I’m clutching her hand until we get there and she smiles and blushes a bit and opens the car door for me. I get in and try to sit and slide into the seat even though I’m not wearing a skirt, it just seems right to try and do it like that. It’s not really that skirt locking my legs together thing but something like it.

Chapter 41: Steve

I got home from lunch on Monday, and saw that I had message waiting for me. I hit the play button and "Hello, Steve? This is Sarah, Dave's landlady, I or rather Dave needs a favor from you. Could you give me a call back this afternoon? Thanks."

How insidious is evil? Can it become genetic? Can good be genetic? Where does that leave freedom of choice?

Chrissy it’s true that it was six months before she died that Judith and I last made love and she reacted badly to my reluctance to leave my wife and family. For a while she tried to make me jealous and she was having an affair as I said.’

We pulled into the parking lot of the Vet's office and there were two people standing outside with a gurney. As soon as Bob got out of truck, they started towards us. Bob picked Thor up and put him on the gurney and all of us headed towards the door.

I listened as Bob talked to the Doctor, "Don't try to separate the two of them. Thor is likely to get violent."

"Come on Bob, Thor wouldn't hurt anyone. He is one of the friendliest dogs I ever seen," the Doctor said. Apparently everyone thought about Thor this way.

I turned and watched them leave. The woman was holding his hand like he was a child. That was weird, because while he had been in school the one thing that he had always objected to was being treated as a child. Something else had changed besides that, he was much more outgoing, and happy. Much different from the person I had met four and half years ago.

I rang Jessica and told her we’d be going to the apartment to gather the rest of Sallys’ belongings and that after that she’d said to say the flat was available for rent. She didn’t say anything except ‘Yes it’s OK.’ I’d expected some remark.

This is a blast from the past that I found on one of my old floppy discs.

The squeal for help dragged Sandra from her early morning torpor and she blinked stupidly as she stirred. She uncurled her legs, yawned then stretched stiffly from the uncomfortable chair in the night office. Next she tugged the hem of her nursing uniform and adjusted her panties that had ridden up into the cleft of her bum. After spending the night watch scrunched up in the uncomfortable night duty chair her back was sore and her legs stiff with cramp.

I relaxed for a bit while mom was still recovering from everything that happened. I close my eyes and kind of drift and review everything that had happened. The Fae, this Kelpie by the name of Shea had come here apparently after Alecia.

Alecia wasn’t the same person that Joanna had remembered at all and by the will or the grace of THE GODDESS was reborn or recreated into something else than a vampire entirely.

Chapter 28: Dave

When we left Joe and Judy's, Bob came with us to help carry in the presents. That was good, I didn't think I'd be able to carry the cookware he'd gotten me. I grabbed what I could in one hand and went to unlock the door. Sarah and Bob grabbed more and followed me.

I clicked on the light and walked into my living room. I saw three Christmas presents sitting under my little tree. When Bob and Sarah came in I asked them about the presents. They both denied having put them there. We brought the rest of the presents in and took Sarah's into her house.
