Sounds Too Good To Be True
Aren't we early today. I still don't trust the blighter. Now they know exactly where the keys are, and everyone is pinned down. It might be time for the crossbow.

Oh dear
Another airing for Cathy's arrows I fear, given she may very well get some unwelcomed company despite her new protectors. At least Henry will now have the opportunity to repay Cathy saving his life.
This has definitely become one of the more intense and suspenseful story arcs in Bike.

These People Have Stirred Up A Hornet's Nest
These people have stirred up a hornet's nest and they will deeply regret their decision to mess with Lady Catherine Cameron and her family. She is engaging the right people for the job, because it is very clear that the police are over matched in this fight. I personally hope that Jim and his buddies get to the bottom of this whole situation and then make sure every one of these fools go home in a bodybag when this is over. When the Russians came after them, they weren't able to totally wipe out the problem. I hope that Jim and his buddies get rid of them all the way to the top. They have to learn that you DON'T EVER hurt one of Cathy's children and live to tell about it.
What'choo doin out this early?
Mus' be a half day at work or summat.
So it's the SBS this time. They're a pretty 'low profile lot' even shadier than the Hereford Hooligans.
Ho hum,- lets see where this is going.
Beeee patient Bev, no use fretting, it'll all come out in the wash!
Can't wait.
Love an' hugs.
Beverly.
Growing old disgracefully.
SBS
Worked with them once. Nothing more to say. But they did make me laugh.....
Nothing more to say?
Let me guess - you could tell us, but then you'd have to kill us... :)
There are 10 kinds of people in the world - those who understand binary and those who don't...
As the right side of the brain controls the left side of the body, then only left-handers are in their right mind!
PM on way
lol
Now
...you know!
A Team
So I'm in the dark!
I never met the 'B' team although the 'A' team were an interesting lot to see.
Topsy
Mostly Harmless
Not sure what it's like in Dorset ...
... but there's no way I'd go out on my bike here in Derbyshire - it's white and bloody slippery and my trike is hors de combat right now. So I guess Ang's bike ride was called off so she decided to pleasure us (gives a little sigh) early ;)
It's getting serious for Cathy too. Good job she's got JB and the SBS on the job as the CID isn't doing too well (enough TLA's for you, Beverley? ;) )
Thanks
Robi
Brass Monkeys
But we did ride today, albeit only to coffee and back.

Cold feet and everything else
I went into my full length cycling tights for the first time this winter yesterday. Brrrrrrrrrr
there might be white stuff
but i managed a return trip to friends at Rotherham - it was a bit chilly i'll grant and there's certainly plenty of the black stuff about on the roads too! Still Ginny and I like a challenge and this week looks like riding to work will continue to be one!
As for only just getting the tights out - call me nesh but i've been wearing mine for weeks! maybe its colder here than in Matlock!

Yet another one in 'brass monkeys' of course.
Oh 'eck
Did someone mention Russians?
Kalashnikov, Kalashnikov, my kingdom for a Kalashnikov. (as Napoleon said at the Battle of The Little Bighorn).

Who guards Camp David?
I hesitate to say this because all the military experts will be smacking me down in a back alley. However, the story I got when I was at Camp David, is that the Navy guards it because one of our Presidents went out there one time and he was not happy with the management. So, he threw the Army out and brought in the Navy. Of course the Navy chap I was talking to at the time told me that the Navy blokes were that much smarter than the Army guys.
So, it is understandable that someone would think that the SBS was somehow superior to the Army. LOL
Come on Cathy, time to activate your "inner Momma Bear".
Very nice

The Royal Navy
The Royal Navy is the oldest of the armed services in Britain, and as such is known as the Senior Service. Its origins can be traced back to before the 9th century AD, when it was, of course England's navy; however it came into prominence upon the restoration of the monarchy in 1660 after the Civil War. This date being before the union of the crowns of England and Scotland n 1707 so it was the English Navy until that date. The Royal Navy is very conscious of being the Senior Service, something which used to irk me as an “Army bratâ€, ’cos of the way they referred to the army as The Pongos. Anyway, even as a small girl, I knew that My Dad—who was an officer in the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders—was much better than those jack tars with their silly flapping bell-bottoms.
Another goody, Ang and "you-know-who" really appreciated the early posting.
Love,
Hilary

This is getting better and better.

Had to look...
I had to look it up - right away (& not wait for your link at the bottom)... So, special boat service is similar to our SEALs... In that they're uber talented, skilled at all sorts of things - not just mayhem, educated and all around dangerous. Nice guys to have as your friends... Not the kinda guys you want to be your enemy.
Sounds like things have been escalated just a tad... Could get messy.
Thanks,
Anne
I know Cathy was recommended
I know Cathy was recommended to Jim by Henry, but what has Cathy been able to check out regarding him; seeing how much he knows about her and now even knows she has "the keys"? Altho he is showing to be a "good guy", it doesn't necessarily mean he is. I guess we will all find out along with Cathy if he is really good or "bent" as the expression goes when someone goes rogue or bad. Jan
Nice to see...
...the odds being evened up.
Thanks A+B: I really enjoy some of the lines I find in this series. Today it was: I was clenching my buttocks to avoid soiling my pants and he was revelling in it.

SBS
The SBS is the UK equivalent to the U.S. Navy's SEALs. This makes them Spec Ops with an emphasis on covert ops.
As for Camp David, while it is the Navy who adminsters CD it is the Marines who actually provide security.
As for whoever is gunning for Cathy's family, with the SBS now getting involved I don't expect them to be around much longer.
