Marc’s mother has left his father. Much to Marc’s relief his two abusive brothers have remained in London with his even more abusive father.
Marc has gone to live with his mother near the border with Scotland whence his mother originated. Marc has admitted to his mother he is ‘girly’ and found she was already aware of it. She proved to be supportive and took Marc to see their family doctor. Marc has taken his first steps on the long path that is transition.

Chapter Six – The Stew Zoo

Candi arrives at the stewardess training academy and finally gets to wear her hostess uniform. She shares a room with Millie, her new best friend, but Millie has nightmares. Candi and Millie snuggle up in bed and Millie tells Candi about her dark past.

Chapter Five – Cruella DeVille

Candi attends the selection for flight stewards where she meets the wicked Megan DeVille, Senior Flight Attendant for Goldwing Airlines, and chairman of the flight steward selection committee. It's quite the battle where the selectee's are bitchy and malevolent to each other as the 16 jostle for the 10 positions available. Candi befriends Millie and they help each other through the selection process. John Benstead meets Candi outside of the of Goldwing Building when selections are completed and they celebrate her success.

Chapter Three – Passports and Payments

Candi needs a forged passport and counterfeit references so she can pass herself as a bonafide female at her interview at Goldwing Airlines. She illicits the support of Michelle Murphy who has contacts in the underworld due to her ongoing relationship with Tony Carlotta. Tony's best forger, John Benstead, comes highly recommended but he's expensive and Candi is running out of cash. How far will she go to realise her dream of becoming an airline stewardess?

It was Gran who noticed one of the beef stores was a heifer. “You know I never bought me no heifer, Jenny. I’ve never raised a heifer. A young store costs a bit more, but is as easy to raise, and makes more meat and sells for more money than a heifer. I’ve always paid a bit more out to bring a lot more in three years later.”

I don’t like hospitals, but my doctor warned me that I needed to get my appendix removed before it became an emergency situation. I figured I could handle day surgery or even an overnight stay. My wife dropped me off and went to work, assuring me that she would be back when I woke up. It was kind of nice being pampered a bit. I arrived at 6:00AM as instructed. I was put through the required procedures and asked dozens of questions. Finally, they got to my name.

Rairy Contrary Chapter 2 Agonizing Retreat

My whole family attended Bryan’s funeral. We heard that, because his mom was so lacking funds, an anonymous donor had paid for the funeral, casket, and graveyard plot. I didn’t have to ask who that donor was; because there was only one person I knew who did such things anonymously. I decided to wait a bit to ask my dad to help Bryan’s mom any more financially.

I’d always loved skating, and I soon was good enough that my coach partnered me with a girl named Kate and we began training as a pair, doing what’s called ice dancing.

"Are you sure you're ready?" Mum asks, waiting as I take a deep breath to calm my nerves. Before I reply, I can't help but look at the girl looking at me in the mirror, a girl wearing a grey school uniform, complete with a white blouse, a smart blazer and tie, a grey knee-length pleated skirt, thick grey tights and plain black flats.

I, by chance, had met the bully from my former high school two-hundred miles away. Talk about coincidences! Even more incredible, he recognized me … kind of.

“Haven’t we met before?” he inquired.

“Wow, that’s an old line!” (OMG. When I was a boy, you wanted to kick my ass, now you’re gonna hit on me?)

“No! It’s not a line! I think I’ve seen your face before! Have you ever been to San Antonio?”

“Yeah, I had a couple of cousins who lived there.”
