Chapter 16 The intrigue continues

I picked up my phone and scrolled through the telephone number list.

Until a few days ago that would have taken me all but 10 seconds but now I had at least one minutes worth. There was nobody on the list that had a number the same as this so I tried to call the number back but there was ‘no service’. Was it a joke from someone. Should I go or not?

Part 14

This Saturday also marked an important event on the Clan Wells Point calendar. As the work wound up on the main farmhouse, the new residents began moving in. The attic suite was finished first so Kylie and Larry moved into the suite while Kylie's mom, Eveyln Masters, moved into her second floor bedroom. Tony and his mom, Rachel, would move in the day before Thanksgiving.

First, I'd like to apologize for the delay in posting this part. Real life has kind of dominated my time of late, so the next part may be slow in arriving as well. Thanks to all those of you who have stuck with the story thus far.

Chapter Fifty-One

The Accident

Chapter 1 - After the accident.

The ambulance had arrived, and when they saw how bad the injury was, they had to immediately stop the bleeding. They put a pressure bandage on it, and taped it with surgical tape. They got the child on the gurney, and in to the ambulance. With sirens wailing, they left for the hospital only two miles away.

Part 13

Barney came out of his coma on Saturday November 3, eight days after the accident. Finding his jaw wired closed upset him, but when he discovered his arm was missing he flipped out and they had to sedate him. It took three days until he was able to accept the fact he'd lost his left arm. All in all, his injuries thoroughly destroyed what little self esteem he possessed. As far as he was concerned, his life was over.

Chapter 13 Is life getting better or not?

Mum panicked as usual, ‘Who could that be at this time, it’s 11-30pm?’

‘Hello, Yes Christine is here, who is speaking please?...James? Is it about work?’
I cringed and rushed to take the telephone ‘it’s OK mum it’s James, I met him last weekend at the hen night. Don’t worry he’s just a friend’

Chapter 11 Back to work!!
I turned around and saw Ms Harper getting out of her car that was parked in her Executive parking place. It was a big BMW 7 series that seemed awfully big for a woman to drive.
She had opened the car boot and waved me across to her so that I could carry a file to her office. So it was funny that because I’d helped her previously I’d been christened Christine and now here I was arriving at work as Christine.
