I'm gonna list all the things I've poked about on BCTS with that are still 'open' that I'd like to or am at least willing to continue, and I'd like you all to rank them according to what you'd like to see more of first.

Okay, I'm not doing a lot of writing during tax season, but I had a story explode in my head last night. I've not written any of it down, but I think it'll be an interesting Sci-Fi/TG/Comic Book Superhero, and I don't know if it'll be long or short, and I don't know if it'll be one part or many.

Lets be clear about one thing, being compared to Vicki Tern is a compliment.

A question for everyone:

I've recently been having discussions about the lengths of
stories, which I thought might be nice to bring out into the
group as a whole. The question is, how long should the post
be for a full novel; or, how would you like it served?

Do you prefer to have it all in one lump, so that
so that you can download and read at our leisure?

Last night I attempted to write an update blog, but the site ate it. Rather than re-do it right then, I figured I could do it today.

Hansel And Gretel vanished on me in mid-read? It seemed an innocuous enough story in terms of sexuality, etc.

I was googling myself and discovered that there is a porn star (or at least a model who frequently poses nude) named "Jennifer Brock." She seems to have been a Playmate. I'd like to assure both of my readers that I am not she, although I wish I had her figure.

1. Wake UP! Decide that you will have a good day today. A positive attitude can brighten your day.

2. Dress UP! The best way to dress up is to wear a smile. A smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks.

3. Shut UP! Say only nice things and learn to listen to what others have to say. We have two ears and one mouth, so let's do twice as much listening as we do talking.

I had planned to write this post anyway, but Diana’s comment to my last blog really spurred me on. So this blog contains both a response to Diana and more general comments.

New Technology!â„¢

BCs network connection has been off and on this afternoon. At least two outages of more than two minutes. I've got a trouble ticket in on it but an intermittent problem like this can be the very crawdads to diagnose.

So I had forgotten how much ego it takes to post a story. I mean, I spent all those millions of hours alone writing the damn thing, and really thought it was pretty good till I sent it to some wonderful people who read it for me. Then I spent another million hours (at least) fixing it.

Thank goodness the first chapter got so many nice comments. I can exhale now.

I may have to go to the ER later today. I'll try to keep you all updated, but now I have to get ready for work.

I've started a new serial over at Stardust. Like Blue Moon, I'm going to post short chapters there and then gather up longer ones to post here.

As I started to look for background detail for the Edwardian set stories I've planned, I quickly realised I knew next to nothing about huge chunks of the period (as opposed to the forties setting I've used before when I could rely on books, films and personal reminiscences of family who lived through it).

Still no idea what happened yet, the server was down for over 12 hours but the ISP said only "server up" and closed the trouble ticket. I'm annoyed.

But glad to be back!

Yesterday, I got myself into a discussion that I shouldn't have (I know - "oh no not again," you're thinking), but really, the argument was stupid because whilst we were both using the same language, we were both using it different ways.

Here's what I mean

For those of you who are post ops and living as a woman, would you do it again? I don't think I recall anyone telling me not to do it. It was after all my responsibilty.

I don't want a discussion with non ops here. It is too painful right now and I don't think I have anything to offer. I don't really want any comments.

I guess I was having a bad night. It certainly isn't reader's comments that keep me writing. No one could exist on such paltry feedback.

So where does inspiration come from? Tonight it came from two pieces of classical music (one by Schá¶nberg, one by Ives), Klimt's 'Judith' and an assist from Oscar Wilde.

I'm 300 words in and it seems to be going swimmingly, though there's a better than fair chance that when I read it back in the morning it's just going to be pretentious b*****s.

Oh well :)

I recently posted an older story, New Job, here. I must admit I was disappointed by the response. Although 2,000 readers opened the first chapter and 1,000 the last of five, there were very few comments. I suppose I should be used to that, every author ultimately gets less feedback than she would wish, but based on past reactions, I was hoping for more than just hitting the floor with a thud.

While reading alot of stories classified as TG I've wondered ....

If someone was happy BEFORE a forced change...

Are they actually TG AFTER ??

Even tho they've resigned to their fate....

Someday a boy will survive and return to what they wanted ???

I don't recall reading a plot where the boy comes out the end as a boy happily...

The most recent, ie part 10 are all new episodes which have not been posted anywhere else.

I know this one is not as popular as some of my other stories, but it's still the one I like best. To the other two who will read it, I hope you enjoy it.

I have a question that I can not answer. The answer would make life all the more confusing for me. I am not sure I want the question answered. A great many people I know are much nicer people than I am. They carry heavier loads, have more cares, and often they face bad health every single day.

I have a confession. it's hard to stand up and admit it, but here goes (gulp)

I have 'I'itis. For those who are not aware of this condition, it occurs where you use I too often and inappropriately in stories.

It started when I was knee high to a little grasshopper. I was doing a fan-fiction based on Jack and Jill, it went something like:

Joanne Barbarella was kind enough to send me a video clip and of course, I laughed like a drain and immediately went off in search of more. After all, laughter is like a drug isn't it?

Anyway, this is non-TG, but is so funny, I thought maybe some of you would like to see it too - hoping that you haven't already.

I had my first story posted on the fourth of October 2004 on Sapphires Place, the first episode of Snafu - a confection of New Age, transgenderism, military, medical and the occult. For some reason readers liked it, and I'm still writing it, although a conclusion could be emerging eventually.

Sephrena gave me a call this morning, they removed gall bladder stones from her and today they are removing her gall bladder. She called to let everyone know that she is okay, and that her surgery is today. I'm going to keep her in my prayers though, and thank you so much, I'll make sure she knows how much you all care :D *huggles you all*

Dear Authors,

Which are of course - reading, writing and relentless research (I never was much use at 'rithmetic).

I'd cracked on with my household chores all week to leave myself clear to write over the weekend. A story of my mother told me at Christmas gave me an idea for a neat short story plot set in wartime Wales, which I reckoned was going to be about 2000 words - so do-able over two days.

I will introduce myself, My name is Mellissa, however it was never this name. I was adopted at 4 months old by what I thought of was a loving family environment. Being so you young (male)was different and difficult. I realized at a early age I was different,I think 6 or so were my earliest memories of my dressing.

Unfortunately, the hit counts missed in the last day or so are just gone, they didn't get recorded.

Bob and I figured out how to fix it but the time machine is broken. Sorry about that.

The node counter table in the database got corrupted during the crash early this morning. The system seems to have crashed due to a power brownout, probably due to high winds in LA. Bob and I will try to fix the database table tomorrow but I still haven't tracked down the My Stories problem.

Actually "Footprints In The Fog" is a first attempt by myself to write an actual story. It was originally posted as a rough beginning chapter on Sapphire's List back in 2005 entitled "Celtic Fire"

I don't know if anyone noticed but the front page now holds only six days worth of stories instead of seven. Since multi-chapter stories are allowed only one entry in the upper part of the page and the lower ten or so spots are taken up by blogs, this means that in six days there are about 40 different stories going on at BCTS. Whew!

I think that "Author" dropdown is a bit unwieldy. And what's to stop
someone from falsely claming a given piece is by some other author? Is it possible to fix it so it automatically chooses the correct author?

Oh, right. I was doing this to test some html to see how it looks.

I'm sitting here, just after posting chapter 17 of "Becoming Antonia" and I can't stop myself from crying. They aren't tears of pain, they are tears of joy. I never thought, when I started writing this series, a litte over a year ago, that anyone would actually want to read it.

Part three of my story Hell yeah it hurts has been sent to Holly Logan for editing.I'm still experimenting trying to post my story here but I'm just not able to copy and paste outside of my documents or office 2007.It's frustrating that I can email it to anyone with office 2007 but I can't post it.Hopefully soon I'll get it figured out and thanks for all the support and to anyone who has dared to
