Richard Kimble immediately saw he had made a mistake. The street was a dead end, or rather a cul-de-sac with homes on all sides. He knew he was finished. Then he heard a voice.

Now for those of you who haven’t heard of the Rocky Horror Picture Show, where the hell have you been? It was released in August of 1975 here in England, September in the States, so you’ve had plenty of time…

It starred Tim Curry and Susan Sarandon and was penned by Richard O’Brien, who has been seen in lots of things since like Ever After, Flash Gordon, Spiceworld, Dark City and Dungeons and Dragons to name but a few. That is of course aside from playing Riff-Raff in his own creation.

And for those of you who really don’t know, it’s about… Just go see it. There’s lots of cross-dressing, lesbians, bisexuals and singing–oh and Meat Loaf’s in it.

I reported for morning formation at 0700. While part of my mind was on what I was doing, PT is pretty mindless. Yelling the cadence wasn’t something that took up a lot of my mental faculties. I put my body and my voice on autopilot and turned my attention to the past weekend.

This story is specifically aimed at Ray Drouillard. Remember, Ray, revenge is a dish best served at sea.

Girls Lie Too

Get up, David. There's a policeman at the door, and he says he needs to speak with you."

"Huh," I said sleepily, wondering why mother was waking me up.

"There's a policeman at the door, and he needs to talk to you."

"Why does he want to talk to me?"

"He wouldn't tell me, he just said he needs to speak with you."

It all started this morning. I was resting on the heater, letting the warmth soak into my fur and flesh. I had been well fed had just finished grooming myself, and was thoroughly enjoying not doing anything at all. One of my humans, the girl, was moving about the room, seeming to be almost floating. She picked up something here, put it down there, came by for quick scritchie, moved along to move something else. This human seemed obsessed with placing things in other spots.. Silly humans, but what can one do?

This is not autobiographical, mostly. I wrote this to see if I could write a story with no dialog and have it be good. It's a story, it has no dialog but I leave it to you to tell me if it is good or not.

Maid Joy

It felt like hearing nails on a chalkboard all the time. There was something fundamentally wrong with the whole world and I didn’t know how to fix it.

I hadn't intended on entering the All Souls Day contest, but, on the very last day, I realized that I had a partially written story that fits.

It can kind of stand by itself, but it can also be continued -- if there is sufficient interest.

A cruel twist of fate turns an elderly man's dream invention into a nightmare machine.

Peter is down on his luck but that is about to change due to a Fairy Godmother and a plastic pail of candy!

He walked down the busy street, passing various shops on the way to his destination. As he walked, he reflected on things.

The mud fought me for every step, grasping and pulling at my legs, as I fled for my life.
