Chapter 3

I’m excited and I’m scared all at the same time and I do exactly what I’m being told. I know that doesn’t sound all super hero like but I don’t know…I’m flying into a burning three hundred and some story building trying to get the people out, using my enhanced strength to ferry firefighters, move heavy stuff that I can lift.

It’s hard as hell because we’re all not used to doing this like this but we get into a rhythm. I get a pair of firefighters on my boots and they hang on as I fly them up to a critical area even getting them up ahead of the fire in the upper levels so they can hit it from both sides.

I carry air replacement tanks with me going in to where the guys are getting low. I’m in an EMT vest so when there’s some one hurt and cut and needs something fast I’m there and carrying the supplies needed to get the injured to where they ca get real help. Or if bad enough I fly an EMT in.

Wishes are tricky things. Even when you get what you want...

When last we saw Dani:

“You okay there, Dani?” Darcy asked, bring me back out of my thoughts.

“Wha... Yeah. I’m fine. Just thinking about things is all.” I told her. Which was the truth, even if I didn’t tell her what I was thinking and worrying about.

“Oh, okay.” She said. “I’m just trying to make sure that you’re okay. I’d be more than happy to listen if you need someone to talk to, you know.”

And whaddya know, I actually felt somewhat better about that. I didn’t know if I could trust her or not, but the fact that I didn’t really have any friends since my move here to Ravencrest and Jimmy’s death. It might actually be nice to have a friend and not feel so lonely anymore.

Chapter 3

You’d think that I’d never been in an Airport before but I’m here. I’m actually here and I can’t help but look around…smell the air, it smells completely different here. I mean there’s the city smells, diesel and gas, cars, pavement and all the other stuff but the sea so close, and different grasses and bushes and trees. This is a country where broad leafed plants actually grow out in nature and not in an atrium somewhere.

I get my luggage and get stopped at customs and there’s of course a thing about my gender on my ID but it’s not as bad as I though it might get and I’m still listed as male on my drivers license and passport even though my photo’s don’t match anything remotely being a guy.

“Oh yeah your tight you little bitch", That’s all I can hear over my screams as this low life enters me.

As this is happing I have to think of how I ended up here, tied to this bed God knows where getting violated by some guy who paid for me.

The rolling thrum of the grav sheer is running through of all of us like the breathing of some great unseen monster breathing down our necks. I’m reading scans on my section as thorough as I can I’m feeling the sweat building under my clothes and running down my spine.

It’s really tense and scary so quiet you can hear the sheer hitting the shields in what I imagine that waves would sound like.
