February Fantasy Fridays: 1

Coworkers William, an accountant, and Kateri, a video game artist, are dating. The
company believes in lots of team building activities including February Fantasy
Fridays to ward off the winter doldrums. These days involve costumes and team
building activities on each of the four Fridays in February. Kat is excited to
participate as a couple, William is less enthusiastic, but might eventually come
around.
I’d been in Trans-Sylvania for slightly less than a year when I got a private communication from the governors. At first, the governors had been only a vague concept to me. It wasn’t until I was working for Alyssa that I’d seen anything from the governors, and then it was second-hand stuff passed on from Alyssa. When I was an Enforcer, I’d seen group emails sent to everyone in Enforcement from the governors.
This time I was being called in for a private meeting with them, and I was told it wasn’t about my job, or at least, not my current one.
Chapter 16: Nerves
Raven Demarco grew up living a sheltered life. When she starts University to get away from that she is caught up in the world of the paranormal. Secret organizations, magic, creatures from myth and legend, and worst of all, her own legacy and the Demons who want her blood.
One of Aunt Lin’s delicate blonde eyebrows rose and was then followed by the other. “Imprisoned? And what do you mean by ‘they’, Raven? As far as I know, only one aspect can be acknowledged.”
Chapter Two
Sophie gave him ten seconds at best, interpreting her step-brother’s response in a more figurative manner. Why give him a full minute, when it was much more fun to surprise him? Either Sam was already wearing the dress, or still in the process of putting it on. If it was the former, amazing; otherwise, Sophie could double down about how he needed help.

“Do you think Phil and Pam are going to work out long term?” I asked Anna.
“Probably. Did you see the way they were looking at each other last night when they left?”
“Yeah. They both texted me their thanks.”
“They texted me to say thanks, too. So ready to find two more tonight?”
“Huh?”
“Let’s go to the straight club tonight and find two more of those guys too shy to ask a girl out. If they have someone they were interested in, we try and set them up, and if not, we try to encourage them to ask someone.”
Greg finds out that it's never too late to become a princess.

Chapter 36: The Head of the Snake
The game is over, and reality will never be the same again.
“Nuh-uh, Asshole, you’re not running away from this,” she hissed as he backed away from her in terror. “People have questions, and you’re going to tell the truth.”

Shakespeare's TAMING OF THE SHREW is one of the greatest of The Bard's plays, BUT in these days of female assertion and the 'Me Too' movement, this show about female subservience offers a lot of challenges. A long time actor in a semi-professional Shakespearean troupe finds himself unexpectedly cast in the part of Kate's younger, cuter, more flirtatious sister, Bianca, by a director who wants to challenge her actors and society.
His preparation for the role required him
to open doors to parts of himself that he never knew he had!
“I’m happy to do this double date if we can make the scheduling work, and if Pam agrees. I’m wondering if we should talk to Pam ourselves first, though, to help her get ready like you did with Phil.”
“Hmm, maybe. I agree that she might need help also, but I didn’t actually meet her yet.”
“Play it by ear, I guess. With sufficient notice I can do this anytime, even overnights, apart from my work hours, which you know now.”

Chris is a high school loner with an amazing, high singing voice. He stands in as a singer in his twin sister's country band, just for one gig, but in the audience that night is a representative of a record company. That representative mistakes Chris for a girl and makes the band an offer that no one could refuse. The girls in the band and a couple of their mothers get involved and Chris' life takes some interesting turns!

Part 36
The rest of the way to the mall, Sadie observed Chris’s process for his latest task. After seeing how it amused the others, as well as how fun it was to get Amy’s cousin to stumble through explanations of why he was saving each particular picture, she kept up the questions and comments. Despite the inappropriate nature of what they were talking about, Sadie somehow managed to keep up her innocent demeanor. It was a confusing contrast to Amy’s smug attitude and Julia’s more dominant energy.
