I was glad for Simon's help in getting my purchases to and from the station. I hadn't realised how much I'd bought until I had to pick them all up again from Waterstone's cafeteria.

We grabbed a takeaway on the way home, Simon fancied a pizza. I don't really like them, but it made for an easy dinner.

“I shall have to watch what I’m thinking around him in future.” Gemma said wryly.

"I’m sorry George." I said. It was the only response I could think of.

"What have you got to be sorry about? You got what you wanted!" Anger appeared in his tone of voice.

"I never meant for anything like what happened tonight to happen. You’ve got believe me!"

"Well it did didn’t it?" He picked up the whisky glass and hurled it across the room. It smashed into varying sized pieces onto the floor against the wall opposite me.

"George…" I nervously tried to say something. Fear was gripping me as I realized he might turn his violence onto me.

This is a fan fiction set in the Firefly/Serenity universe created by Joss Whedon. It takes place after the events in the television series and the companion motion picture that followed. This means it has SPOILERS, folks, and major ones at that.
