(Author's Note: This is a story I wrote a while ago. I always felt it was too long so I am cutting it up into six chapters for easy digestion, don't forget to wipe the powdered sugar from your dress when you are done. It contains a lot of sex but not in the first couple of chapters. Hope YOU like it...)

Getting dressed for our shopping expedition was the easy part. I fretted over the makeup but thankfully, Mia had come prepared with more than just the clothes. Applying makeup to her standards was OTOH a different experience so I let her take over. By the time she was done, we both had very pale, almost white faces, thick black brows, ruby red lips and black eyes with lots of emphasis on the outer parts. We also wore pairs of the thickest and longest false lashes that I’d ever seen.

Inspired by their kids' love of the dress-up game, divorced moms Gail and Judy search for a cute guy who would like to play the game with them. In an encounter at a rack of pretty sundresses in a local department store, Gail finds a willing player in Carl.

I blinked and stared at Evan, totally confused. Evan was my childhood friend and current roommate. Both of us were students at the Tiresias College for Mages. He was a pretty tall guy, skinny as a rail, with a fairly androgynous face. And if we're being honest, a fairly androgynous voice too. As for me? Well, I'm... average. Black hair, blue eyes. A couple inches shorter than Evan. Not skinny but not fat. Like I said, average. Oh, and my name is Jason.

The Party

It was a beautiful day in L.A., but I had a feeling this was a bad idea.

Carmen woke up as sun rays entered from the window. She got up and stretched her arms, happy to be home and with her mom. Leaving the bed in her nightshirt and leggings, Carmen left the bed and walked to her closet by habit.

Carmen was surprised to open the closet to see that all her old clothes were there. Quickly though, her surprise turned to a smile, knowing that her mom had kept her old clothes in place, hoping she would return one day.

My journey home from Sunningdale was plagued with worry. A thousand and one questions were buzzing around my brain. They were a mix of questions relating to me, but mostly they were to do with Mia. When the train stopped at Staines, I knew that professionally, I was about to get very much out of my depth but there was more, far more.

Thirty minutes after I graduated from High School the bitter truth of life sank in as my parents told me that I either had to join the military or move out. This was sprung fifteen minutes after pictures were taken with friends and teachers, while the thoughts of what I had planned to do with my life were just a gleam in my eye, this was sprung on me.
