Chapter One

I try to struggle to my feet. It’s useless. Chris straddles me, laughing at my attempt to get free.

“C’mon, little brother. What’d I teach you?”

“Please...” The knee gouging into my spine makes it hard to breathe. “Stop.”

“Don’t be a sissy. Fight my ass! Be a man!”

A swat to the back of my head knocks my face into the worn, dog-scented carpet. I will myself not to cry. “Don’t. Please.”

The training team is back with some new challenges and a plot against them.

Chapter Two: The Day After

The morning light streamed into David’s room, casting a soft glow over his belongings—the game controllers scattered on his desk, the anime DVDs stacked neatly in the corner, and the mysterious box that now felt like the centerpiece of his universe. But it was the medallion around his neck, a family heirloom that had been passed down for generations, that held the most significance. Little did David know, this seemingly ordinary piece of jade was about to change his life forever.

"Mum I can't possibly do this. " Alex she told her quietly, horror evident in his voice. His mother standing next to him in their little combined kitchen and dinning room, snorted in rye amusement.

Christen looked at his reflection as he tried to adjust the bra supporting his huge breasts. He was still pissed at what Eddie had done to him. He looked over towards his roommate Thomas as he fumbled around with the bra, he was wearing to support his huge breasts as well. The two of
them had been victims of bullies at their respected high schools.

Chapter 15

With all the equipment through for out camp, we made a habit of keeping the main portal closed, but with the smaller one generated by the dagger open so we could maintain communications with home. I called for the main portal to be opened so I could evacuate non-combatants, only to discover it wouldn’t let us through.
