Charlotte is now a eligible young lady of breeding; her fiancée William has just asked for her hand in marriage telling Lady Arabella that he knows that Charlotte was not born a girl but he does not care, as he truly loves her. Soon his Regiment must return to the bloody peninsular war against Napoleon and he is fully aware that he could be away for years.

I apologize for the delay in posting. I decided to do a last minute rewrite of a couple of scenes.

Some good comes out of an upsetting day.

John lay on his bed wishing it would go away. Not the bed. That thing at his crotch. It was bad enough just having it there. But it had started growing a bit. That was a bad sign, he really wasn't looking forward to puberty. But at least he hadn't started getting hairy yet. Except for small patch just above it.

It was probably wishful thinking, but he thought he was growing a little bit up top. From what he'd read on the web, it was probably just gynecomastia, but he'd take what he could get.

Torulf gets a shock when the bodies are inspected the following morning. Later, an extraordinary meeting of all the attending rulers is convened to discuss the future of the states who make up the Great Valley. Garia offers Torulf a way out of his predicament before visiting the range with some of those from Blackstone. On their way back to the hotel Bleskin has an unpleasant encounter.

Charlottes education continues apace as the war in Europe starts to swing against Napoleon. Charlotte, Annabelle and Clarissa have their coming out year and are presented to the King. This make a girl eligible to marry and William asks for Charlottes hand in marriage - this caused consternation with her mother.

Martin is settling in in his new home and making some decisions.
