When Samantha wants to help Jenna, she finds out her friend is the victim of a three hundred year old family curse...and a whole lot more.
Samantha and Endora exchanged knowing glances that said they had put the clues together. That faint sense of witchcraft they both had experienced was trivial by itself, but when Jenna name dropped Rebecca Anne Stewart as an ancestor, it raised suspicions. The locket and its picture removed all doubt. The conclusion was totally incredible, absolutely unbelievable and yet completely undeniable. The only question now that remains was how in the world do you tell Jenna that there really are witches, that she was the direct descendant of one of the most famous or infamous, depending on your point of view, witches ever and …as a result, was a witch herself?
Samantha had no idea what the best way was or even if there was a best way, but she had to do it and she had to do it now.
“Jenna.. I…well…that is Mother and I…have something to tell you. Now, I know it’s going to sound crazy and you aren’t going to believe it, but I promise you it’s the truth… witches honor.”. Samantha raised two fingers and made a peace sign just below her nose.
“Oh for Pete’s sake Samantha”, Endora’s patience having run out. “You’re making this worse than the Spanish Inquisition , and I should know, I was there.”
Endora moved from the chair to sit beside Jenna. “It’s all very simple dear. You see…I’m a witch…Samantha's a witch and believe it or not.. you're a witch too.”
Jenna looked to Samantha who smiled and nodded in agreement and then back to Endora.
Samantha waited for that look of confusion or disbelief, but neither came as Jenna calmly considered their confession before finally arriving at a conclusion. “You two certainly fooled me. I never would've guessed you two were into Wicca and tarot cards and such. And… I admit I’ve always been drawn to magic and am honored you would want to include me in your circle but in all honesty, I’m just too self conscious to dance naked around a fire with a dozen other women chanting.”
Endora sighed and shook her head while Samantha decided to take another shot at it. “Jenna…we’re not that kind of witch. We’re witches like Rebecca Anne Stewart, you know …those spell slinging, calderon stirring, broom riding type witches? And ummm….you're a member of the club.”
“You two can’t be serious.” Jenna laughed nervously. “I mean you’re joking… right?”
Samantha shook her head. “I’m afraid not.
Endora noticed Jenna's deer in the headlights look. “Little one, I think it's time to show Jenna The Book.”

Captured the characterizations on the TV show
I could envision the characters portrayed on the show, as the dialogue progressed. The only exception, I think Endora would be showing Jenna real magic at the point the chapter ended, rather than a book. Endora never had much patience. I suppose that would be easier and more dramatic on TV rather than read in a story.
Jenna seems to be at a turning point in her life. It will be interesting to see if Samantha and Endora can handle this without having to appeal to the witches council.
You are so right
about Endora...patience especially with mortals is something she has in short supply. I don't think I've truly done her justice so far. I may to make some changes....thank you for commenting and Im glad you've felt the spirit of Bewitched
Witches
Maybe Endora sees Jenna already as descendant of a witch?
Martina
I feel like
Endora's curious and if Jenna is a true descendant of a witch with possible powers she's showing her a little professional courtesy lol ...but patience has its limits
One of my favorite...
...shows growing up was Bewitched and your story just might change my opinion of Endora.
I could be wrong
But I always she had a heart, she just rarely ever showed it because it was so much fun being the arrogant, mischievous, royal b who delighted in torturing poor Darrin
