The Curse of Rebecca Anne Stewart or There's No Such Thing As Witches Chapter 08

Chapter Eight - Turn the Page

By Maggiethekitten

When Samantha wants to help Jenna, she finds out her friend is the victim of a three hundred year old family curse...and a whole lot more.

Samantha nodded in agreement and with a twitch of her nose, a large black leather bound book suddenly appeared. Jenna’s eyes went wide as she watched the book hover a few inches above the coffee table. She wanted to ask how she did it, but she was afraid she might actually tell her.

Endora waved her hand and the book started slowly turning its pages. “It’s sort of the Who’s Who of Witches and Warlocks “
.
Jenna watched in amazement as the pages turned at Endora's command, until Samantha raised her hand to stop them. When they did, she drew Jenna’s attention to a picture.

“Oh my stars”, Jenna gasped when she saw a familiar face and name below it. “That’s the same picture of Rebecca Anne Stewart that’s in my locket… but… that means…she really was a witch… I mean a real witch?”

Endora rolled her eyes, “I think she’s finally getting it.”

Samantha took Jenna’s hand. “Yes…she was a real witch… just like Mother… just like me…and…just… like… you.”

Jenna shook her head, “Okay…maybe…maybe… you and Endora are real witches and so was Rebecca Anne but I’m not a witch. I mean I kind of think I would know if I had magic powers.”

Jenna chuckled, “Trust me…if I was a witch I probably would've turned a few haters into frogs by now.”

“No dear”, Endora gently corrected her. “I wasn't sure at first, but I am now. You are most definitely a witch.”

Endora reached out and gently ran her fingers over the engraved images on Jenna's locket. “Your powers …and probably the powers of every other daughter of Rebecca Anne Stewart have been… well …suspended you might say “

Jenna thought for a moment and then sighed, “I’m sorry, but …I don’t see how you know I’m a witch even if Rebecca was and what do you mean by suspended?”

Endora looked at Samantha. “Perhaps you need to tell her the whole story.”
