The Curse of Rebecca Anne Stewart or There's No Such Thing As Witches Chapter 11

Chapter Eleven - Two Little Girls Are Worth a thousand Words

By Maggiethekitten

When Samantha wants to help Jenna, she finds out her friend is the victim of a three hundred year old family curse...and a whole lot more.

Samantha's quandary was left unanswered as the decision was made for her by three giggling girls who came bouncing through the patio doors on a run.

It was the same three girls who’d left to play outside less than an hour ago, but two of them looked dramatically different on their return. Becky was leading the rug rat pack, followed by Cathleen with Tabitha bringing up the rear. All three were dressed the same as when they left, but Becky and Cathleen had been given an age and gender magic makeover, and finally heart, spirit and body were one

“Aunt Jenna!...Aunt Jenna!”, the newly minted girls squealed as they mobbed the awestruck woman

“Look…look!”Becky bounced in front of her with energy and joy overflowing "I'm a real kid. I’m a real girl!.”

“Me too! “Me too!”, shouted Cathleen, the second perfect pigtailed princess.

Jenna looked from smiling face to smiling face. Her mind told her this was impossible, but when she looked into their eyes, her heart knew the truth beyond the boundaries of accepted knowledge.

With joy overflowing in tears, she opened her arms to them and they poured in. The three who had clung together during some dark times were one in the joy that can only come from the impossible made possible.

Assuming this transformation had been Samantha’s handy work, she smiled at her through tears, “Thank you…thank you for giving the girls their dream. I…I’m convinced. Witches are definitely real!”

Becky pulled back from the embrace, “But Aunt Jenna…Mrs. Stephens didn’t fix us.”

“Tabitha did!” Cathleen pointed to the junior spell slinger standing in front of her mother.

Samantha shook her head as she gave her daughter a disapproving look. “Young lady, how could you?”

“I’ll tell you how”, Endora swooped in and collected her granddaughter in a hug. “She’s a very talented little witch. That's how.”

“Mother…you're not helping.”, Samantha scolded her but Endora was having none of it

“Hush Samantha…you’ll stunt her growth.”

Endora smiled lovingly as she touched her granddaughter's powerful button nose. “Now tell Grandma the truth. Did you change them with two separate spells or with one big one?”

Tabitha smiled proudly, “I did it with one and it was easy too.”

“A double? And at your age too! Why…your mother wasn't doing doubles until she was almost seven.”

“Speaking of your mother.”, Samantha transferred the bundle to her own arms and gave her daughter her best stern mommy face. “Your mother told you no more magic without permission. What do you have to say for yourself young lady?”

Tabitha sighed and frowned, “I’m sorry Mommy, but… but”, suddenly her frown turned upside down. ‘Mommy they're not like Irving…they really are kids just like me and I fixed them.”

Irving had been an adult client of Darrin's that Tabitha turned into a little boy when she’d heard him lament the loss of his childhood days, Of course he was truly an adult and had Samantha change him back.

“See Mommy see”, she pointed to her playmates, “Now that I growed them little, they're having fun and they aren't sad no more.”
