“Wow. You’re really being considered for Captain?” Nikki asked as she approached me at my locker following second period English. I hadn’t breathed a word of it to her yet since in my mind, I had already decided I wouldn’t accept nomination.

Nikki giggled, wrapping her arm around my waist. I lay my head on her shoulder as we started down the hall together, but she suddenly stopped and whispered. “Hey, who’s the new girl with Jenn?”

Previously… It was 7:10 and I had a surprise visitor, Matt Petersen had come to see me with Brianna. He was taken back both by how Bri reacted to me and how much of a girl I was. He shared, “Where is the troublesome boy?”…
Jeff is here and neither he nor I are angels.” Bri gave me a hug saying “Angel.” I could not help but cry…
… if I went to stay with the Petersens it was to stay as Jessie and for now to be their foster child. I would need to visit with her regularly and they wanted me on a hormone blocker for one month.

I get dressed and let Mike in with the computer and his recordings of stuff. It’s mostly audio except for the stuff in public areas and there’s some scenes where we catch Justin and Lucas bullying some of the kids that would kind of fit into the less than up to their social standards.

They’re not hitting but both of them are big guys and hooked up with Adam…well not just hooked up. Justin’s Adams closest “Friend” and Lucas is almost as sycophantic.

“That’s Justin and the other one’s Lucas, or as I used to call them Adams right and left testicles.”

I am gonna give fair warning this one is a bit hard.

Dorothy's hair was in two pigtails on either side of her head. The blonde hair just long enough to give that little girl look. Jacilynn's single braid with the little white bow on her waist length auburn hair almost a contrast. While both girls wore the same white blouse with the short puffy sleeves, pearl buttons and its almost see thru polyester material Jacilynn's breasts were already pushing the limits of the A cup bra she wore.

Of course, we had to make the introductions to the others, and that was when I realised how sharp Ian’s focus had been on me and Mam, as he hadn’t even noticed the Forster brothers. So many explanations, so much history, and so often his eyes would drift as his mind processed such things as Alec’s presence at John’s side.

“My middle brother Ian; John Wilkins, retired colleague and life-saver”

“Oh, don’t, Jill!”

“Well, it’s true…and Von you might have heard Mam talk about. That’s her boy Will over there with Nelly”

I’m going over things in my head and figuring out songs when I hear Rayne sort of mumble curse.

“What? What’s up?”

“I think we’re being followed?”

“Huh?”

“Yeah, and I think it’s those guys from the other night it looks like their truck.”

I look back in the mirror and it’s hard to tell because last time it had been so dark out but I just have this feeling that it is. I call Mike on the phone.

“Yeah?”

“That truck is it following us?”

“I noticed, I think it is.”

It’s a pure moment.

Sunshine and love and me just really able to be myself and still loved by my father who’s holding me in my arms. Like I said I swear that I could feel my Mom’s presence with us in this whole moment.

Our first real father daughter talk and one that left me feeling loved and treasured. What girl big or little can say that that’s not something that I’ll treasure forever?

Jacilynn had been quiet for some time in her room. Andrea gently tapped on the door of her newest daughter. There was no answer. Fearing another flashback episode Andrea opened the door and looked in.

There was no sign of Jacilynn however there was signs of a struggle of sorts. On the bed was a pair of jeans. While Andrea knew they were girls jeans they did look the same as a pair of boys jeans. Normally this would not be an issue but for Jacilynn Andrea knew it was.

I curl almost into Rayne spooning into her hip and smiling at her and we’re kissing and she’s tearing up still and crying and I go from kissing her to wrapping my arms around her and pressing my chest to her side and slipping myself under her arm but I pull her closer to me and even as angel I hold her in that same way as my Dad does.

It’s just me…I’m Angel…and she’s said that Angel is boy plus some and at the same time maybe I can also be a girl plus some too. I hold her gently but with enough care and strength that she’s safe.

The meal was no wonder of modern cuisine, but it was properly cooked and filling, and I noticed that it wasn’t just tea being consumed by some of the older sorts. People were happy, that was the overwhelming thing. Mostly in pairs, mostly touching, even Von’s earlier pain seemed to have left the building, as she came to life discussing her baby’s college plans with Kelly and Mark as if Will wasn’t even there.
