Synopsis: There is an old saying that says life is what you make it. These days, I firmly believe it to be true. I used to believe that God hated me. White Skates

Small boy holds on to his mother’s hand, as they navigate the store, looking for the right place. Soon, they are in sporting goods, and the two of them join the small group of boys and girls and harried parents getting new skates.

“I want white skates, momma.” The small boy practically whispers.

“White skates are for girls.” She says, and sits him down so the salesclerk can measure his feet. Soon they are stuffed into black skates, and the mother says “Now you’ll be able to play hockey.”

Synopsis: Jessica spent her first day out in public, and somehow made it back in one piece. She had run into Scotty for the first time as a girl, and the sparks have begun to fly between the two of them. Jessica would love to get to know him better, but is afraid to allow him to get close. She’s very afraid that he could discover her secret.   At the same time Jake Roberts is busy getting ready for a heartfelt reunion with his son.

Last time...
I didn't give her a chance to use it as I lifted the chair up over my head and brought it down on hers as hard as I could. She dropped like a ton of bricks! I held the remains of the chair in my hand for a moment, unsure if she was conscious or not, then dropped it. I grabbed the glass of milk out of the dumbwaiter and ran into the bathroom. Dumping it out, I filled it with water and threw it into the fire. It took at least ten trips, but I finally put the fire out. Once that was done I ran for it!

Marcie started to say something and then stopped and stared at me oddly. I was just about to ask her what she was staring at when she said, "You used to take compliments a whole lot better than that."

CHAPTER 6
I rang Eric and let him know the change in my circumstances. The really good thing for us was that if I was now down as the schools ‘face’ I would be coming off shifts, which meant that we might finally be able to synchronise our lives.

CHAPTER 5
Wednesday was my first day back at work, and thankfully it was quiet for an early turn. Den was now back at work, on day shifts and light duties, which at least allowed me to dump odd bits of paperwork on him.
