Summary: A little girl has a mission as the first snow falls.

I’ve only ever had one friend; a woman twenty-odd years older than myself who definitely was a woman who appreciated a little male company from time to time, even overnight occasionally.

No one knew precisely where it started, but it was generally acknowledged it was in a women’s bathroom at a shopping mall.

“Get the hell out of here you pervert.”

“I’m a woman! You can’t throw me out of here, you horrible old TERF!”

“No you’re not a woman. You may try and dress…..”

“Sorry what was I saying. Of course you should be in here. I’m so sorry can you forgive me?”

I was turning blue standing there in the cold sea. I cursed myself for being such a coward. Standing on the beach were Mike and Steve, the two biggest jocks in my school, eagerly waiting for me to get out of the water. I was scared, really scared of what they were going to do. How could I be so stupid to come out this way? Not that anybody would be surprised. I had always come across as too feminine for a boy and everyone, including me, knew it was only a matter of time - but anyway - this was a really stupid way to do it.

I was 7 years old and bored. My brother wouldn't play with me and I had no friends. I was a very shy child and didn't mix well with other boys. I found them noisy and rough.

I asked my mum if I could play outside and got the normal reply.

"Yes ok, but stay in the street, don't go around the corner."

This was 1969 we never seemed to worry about children going missing. It never happened much or it wasn't reported on.

just scene that popped into my head...

"She's got a dick!" Robin shouted.

"So do half the other girls on the cheer squad. And a quarter of the guys on the football team *don't*. What's the big deal?"

Robin suddenly felt that they weren't in Kansas anymore...

This Story is set in a country where the Order of Eve, an ultra feminist party have taken power..

Men have no rights and need to have female guardians to stay out of "state guardianship", which means being sent to forced labor camps.

Dream 1

I dreamed that I was with a caravan of performers, and we were taken into custody and brought to a beautiful Arabian nights style palace.

Once there, I told the guard what we were, and then the prince of the kingdom came in.

He was about twenty-five, very handsome, and for some reason, shirtless.

‘All Rise for Judge Smethick’ the Bailiff intoned solemnly. I rose beside my solicitor, trembling slightly with the beginnings of a cold sweat. This was when I would hear my sentence for my crimes.

‘Be seated’. The court settled down with a shuffling of feet and some stifled coughs.

‘The defendant shall rise’. I stood again. The Judge shuffled his papers and stared at me over the top of his glasses. It was not a friendly stare.

My cell-phone chimes rang, indicating a text. I picked up my phone. The text was from... Great Grandma Gloucester?

Daniel Driver was at a low point in his life. For years, he'd been aspiring to become a police officer. He'd spent years training and learning about the duties of a police officer, but he'd ended up failing the final test. All of his education and training had been for naught. He'd given it everything he had, and yet he'd been turned down. Daniel was absolutely crushed.

I’m a ninety-five year old man and my dream since early childhood had always been to be a teenage girl whom a kind, young man fell in love with. He wouldn’t have necessarily been handsome, wealthy or clever, just kind and someone who cared about me. My favourite song has for a long time been ‘Words Don’t Come Easy to Me’ by F. R. David, for it resonates with my soul in ways I have never understood.

There is something special about sharing a meal with somebody. When you share a common meal with somebody a bond is formed. And existing bonds become stronger. It's that reason that when me and my friends gather out in the woods, I always have us share a simple meal. Most of the time it's a snack, like somebody would bake cookies or something. Other times we'll go the whole hog and have a little cook-out in the woods. If we have a cookout, you know then there's going to at least three or four good stories told that night.

“Hello, Helen, come in. I take it you’ve heard the news and have come to congratulate us?”

I was earning a little extra pocket money by babysitting. These particular fraternal twins responded best, it seems, to the supposed extra authority of a male.

Beth and Sam were fraternal, but still quite similar.

The second time I sat, they had been messing about in the kitchen, and had two glasses. One held grape juice, the other pink lemonade.

Beth drank the grape juice, and Sam the pink lemonade, and for the rest of the evening, they pretended to be each other.
