Lucy stands before the statue she had heard stories about since she was a toddler by her mother before her death. She was supported by her crudely made crutches under her left arm as she just stood there and looked at the statue. Lucy couldn’t believe she was finally here looking at the statue. Her old tatter blood stain dress flutters in the light breeze as she just stands there and look-up at the creature in front of her. Tears slide down her cheek as she raises her right hand to touch the statue.

Lupita swing the ax down on the tree log and splits it in one swing. She looks over towards Black Wolf "I could get use to this. I split that log with just one swing and it went right through it."

Gabriel Banks couldn’t believe his luck. All he wanted to do was come to the bank and transfer some money from one account to another account. That’s all he wanted to do today. But, no! The cosmos was against him.

Lupita watches as the snowflakes fall and cover the ground. She was watching the flakes fall from the doorway of a shelter she had found. It had a small stables attaché to it for horses and there was still some hay in it that was good. The shelter wasn’t very big, but had enough room to hold four people. It had a hand pump for water and a wood stove for cooking. The fire place was big enough to warm the shelter.

Chapter 5

For the third day in a row Jake found himself around Trish’s house before school. Once again he was sitting with her drinking a coffee and smoking one of her cigarettes. Although he hated to admit that first drag felt good and the taste of coffee was starting to grow on him. After he had taken a few drags Trish tutted.
