Captain John Raymond started out life in the British Army as a Captain in the Royal Highlanders. Soon his superiors realised that he had talents that were more suited to special operations and so he was transferred to the SAS. More often than not he was on solo operations. John had long since lost count of the operations he had been on. On one occasion while in the Libyan Desert he found a necklace and chain.

I woke up in pain.

My leg and hip felt fine, but my right hand was icy cold and cramped. Mrs. Jones was sleeping at my side, blood smeared on her clothes, still she was smiling peacefully. Easing myself out of bed, I found I was dressed in a nightgown. For at least the tenth time I wondered what was up with people constantly putting me to bed and changing my clothes every time I was injured. Raising the hem, I saw my leg was perfectly healed without even a mark. My hand wasn’t so lucky.

I was stuck with this guy that my spell did not work on. What am I going to do now? If the office pulls him in and interrogates him my secret will be out. What will I do then? I could always run to Wind Haven. I don't want to give up the work so that's out. I need to get a handle on this.

“Alright, Insight, I this poor, sweet, little kitten is scared, and you're the only one who can make him feel better. I want you to make him a little happy without becoming enthralled to you,” Dr. Chance said, putting a mewing little puff of grey and black light on the table.

She couldn't resist, and reached out to pet the little animal. “He's so soft,” she cooed. “Can I keep him?”

Alright, so here it is, what I've been hinting at, my Halloween story for this year. This sort of thing, while something I love, seems harder to write than I thought. Maybe I'll get better with practice, or maybe I nailed it better than I think I did... but it's hard to do scary in prose.

This start is a little trope-ish, like many of mine, but I make good on it I think. At any rate, tell me how I did. Oh, and you're warned, I'm trying to be scary here; if you don't like that kind of thing, you shouldn't read it.

So, here is the first part of book two, a piece of what will be Chapter 7, titled Exploration of Mysteries, which should be fairly self explanatory, and follows Tasalin as he delves into the mysteries of Ilos.

This is the second part of the story. These chapters are rougher, but I think they're ok. Feel free to let me know what works and what doesn't. Enjoy.

The next morning I was too excited to stay still. After getting dressed in the same golden dress, leaving Crier on the bed, the dance had no place for him, I went to the cafeteria and had to force myself to eat. I saw Sam briefly but he was following a wisp probably to prepare for his fight. I went to Mrs. Jones and listened as she nattered on about how happy she was that I was going to be dancing for the 'town'. I didn't have the heart to tell her that if I did well she might never see me again. Better to let her be happy a few more hours and then forget about me later.

Now that another Time Traveler is loose upon Earth’s fragile timeline, what will he change and could the Empress and her sisters be the first casualties? Nick and Jess are back in Ilos, trying to find out what happened to their friend, and meet someone new. Things are going a bit crazy on Earth, but there is much that has yet to be realized. A few new characters take the stage as well, revealing that there is much more going on than originally thought.

I was forced to wear the only outfit that wasn't skin tight, a brilliant blue sleek gown that showed too much cleavage and had a slit up to my thigh. I really hated my choice of clothing, even as it amazed me, every step made fluffy white clouds flow across the fabric making it look like I was wearing the sky. It looked so real I tried to touch them, only feeling sleek fabric and my body underneath. I stepped out to meet Sam, trying to ignore how much skin I was showing.
