~* A Ski Lift For Two *~

While Jonathan took Nicole and Allison first, I started wandering the equipment racks. I really wanted to learn to ski before even thinking about snowboarding, which meant it wouldn’t be happening this trip, but as I passed by a really nice-looking decal on a dark purple board, I had to stop and look.

“Nice isn’t it?” Jennifer spoke up, causing me to jump. She giggled. “It’s the Blue Majestic line. The guy who makes them is actually an ex-surfer. He still makes boards sometimes, but his specialty is snowboards and skis these days.”

“Oh, I just thought it was pretty,” I admitted with a sheepish smile, half-expecting her to laugh at me.

She grinned instead. “Me too; that’s what I like about Blues. The guy’s daughter’s only thirteen, but she does the master print for all his decals.

............I raised my hand to instinctively brush my longer hair out of my face and of course the image in the mirror copied my actions.

I moved my fingers gently over my face, feeling the unfamiliar contours of my new, cute appearance.

“Cute,” I said to myself, “not a bad thing to be and definitely a lot better than being overweight and lacking in the looks department.”

Chapter 2

Luckily the drying room was empty and I was soon back at the
tent. What now? I'm sat here wearing a mini skirt and girl's pants and
I'm starving! Well I guess that woman didn't notice anything odd,
maybe... Nah that's stupid. I settled into writing my journal, moving
onto the ass in front of my tent to take advantage of the evening sun.
I'd actually been sat there for nearly fifteen minutes before it
occurred to me that I was just sitting about in a skirt. I was still
hungry maybe I could get away with it, there's a restaurant on the
site, I could go there, maybe?

Chapter 1

Mark queued up with a sense of excitement and a degree of impatience. This trip was going to be one of those things you remember forever, the fact that he'd used all his savings and every bit of spare cash he had to make it happen was immaterial. For over a year he'd been planning his route, the accommodation and budget. The queue shuffled forward again. It was the culmination of a dream and a desire to do something a bit more adventurous than a week in Lanzarote for the annual hols.

Michael’s new apartment is too good to be true. Immense, beautifully furnished and cheaper than his last place.

Sometimes when fortune smiles you smile back and accept what it offers you. Other times, with Halloween just round the corner and a killer on the loose, it might have been as well to ask a few questions first…

Halloween - Chapter 1
October 31, 1970

“So what are you boys going to be for Halloween this year?” Mother asked looking directly at me while I was eating breakfast with my brothers.

“Are you asking Steven and Billy or are you asking me, Mom?” I replied.

The group stayed as quiet as possible as they trudged quietly down the path and eventually they came upon a landmark, however it shocked everyone, instead of a rock, or a tree or even an odd animal it was a town. Hands flew up in both excitement and horror. “A town! Yay!” Kate cried pulling the robe out and handing it to Cael before sprinting toward the town at full steam.

Fiction by Johnny Cumlately

The envelope was addressed to Steve Smith, The Cottage, Combe Farm, in familiar writing and the post mark said "BFPO 952." Inside was a photograph of an attractive girl dressed in Army desert combat uniform. She wore a regimental beret, camouflage shirt with corporal's stripes, trousers and army boots. The picture was taken at an angle so that the outline of her breasts was clearly visible. Her hair was tied back and she had just a hint of makeup. Very obviously female. There was a short note:

Chapter 10

Well shit…shit, shit, shit.
I just ran into a friggin Vampire, a real frigging vampire, in my hometown and in Dairy Queen? Of all places.
I knew here or rather Joanna-me did. Alecia…petite and cute and blonde and just as lovely as and angel ordering an extra rare burger. I’m sure she was part of a massacre that killed hundreds in a “Riot” in Birmingham.
I’ve seen her slice men open with her claws, I’ve seen her kill and I know she’s one dangerous bitch.

The Half Lilin: By The Light Of The Moon (Chapter 7)

Thanks to Captain Normality for the proofreading!

"You've been spacing out for awhile now. Something in your mind? By the way, I don't like your new hairstyle." she said as she slurped on her OJ. I had cut my hair by myself before leaving for the office earlier this morning, using the tip left by Shaina last night. I didn't dare cut too much, as I had once become a laughing stock of the school for cutting too much of my hair in patches, so that I looked like a Kappa, a kind of Japanese spirit that holds water in the empty patch of hair on his head. I recalled Chris being suspended for a week for decking everyone who made fun of my hair, without caring whether it were boys or girls. Mom eventually applied a cream on my head that made my hair grow within 24 hours. Then she gave me a proper army style close-cut. At this moment, my hair is just a little above my shoulderline.

"Sue..."

"Uhuh?"

"Why didn't you tell me that you're an angel?"

It was funny seeing her choke on her OJ.
