This still addresses traumatic issues, but is largely past the brutal subjects of the last two chapters. A goddess is invoked.

A pair of brothers stumble upon an ancient danger. There is a limited time before a fearsome enemy erupts forth, but our heroes have to undergo some changes first...

Severely unpleasant scenes of rape, suicide and other abuse. I want to get this part of the story out of the way as it is unpleasant to write and probably just as unpleasant to read. There is a light at the end of the tunnel...but.

As the caravan travels towards Palarand the mystery woman's flashes of memory and the accompanying headaches become more frequent. After refreshing themselves at Tanon's mansion a visit to the palace reveals perplexing news.

Nana ran us up by Eskdale Moor and Burnmoor Tarn the next day, sticking to the track and the footbridges, but there was still bog, and I understood her insistence of doing without socks as the mud splashed my legs and soaked through the canvas of my shoes.

I woke up from a good night’s sleep. When I noticed a sudden heaviness an pulling on my chest. I looked down to find a nice pair of breasts. I also noticed I was not wearing my usual pajamas but I white lace nightgown.

I got out of bed and walked over to the mirror over the dressing table. What I saw reflected back to me was a beautiful young girl of about sixteen with dark hair and emerald green eyes.

CHAPTER 10
That was rather amazing. Her lips were incredibly soft, and I found out why noses don’t squish when people snog.

The week was a good one, as those things go. I felt safe for the first time I could remember, safe and wanted.

You spend your entire life thinking you’re just like any other boy, when you suddenly find out you aren’t, trying to adjust can be difficult.

CHAPTER 8
The school day passed far more easily than it ever had at Bowness. I was, for the moment, the centre of attention, and classmates were queuing up to ask me about Singapore, my running, all sorts.

Part 22, Acceptance (Finale)

Pansy rejects George, and accepts that her destiny is to be a peasant wife, to cook, clean, and bear and raise children--exactly as George had considered proper for a woman.
