A young man moving to college has a very unusual encounter one night, at a rest stop on a deserted stretch of Interstate highway.

In the midst of the Great Recession, computer analyst Harry Jerome finally found a job as driver and general go-fer for millionaire investor Tommy Del Fino. Del Fino is a bully who constantly belittles Harry. Then Harry finds a magic lamp.

Wild Magic 53

When three old men find a magic lamp, the genie grants each a wish. Each makes a wish based on how he lived his life, and each, in his own way, GETS what he wished for.

This is the first of a series. The characters differ from story to story, though. What ties the series together is the game "Wits and Wishes" that the djinn play. The object of the game is to outwit the human master and "bend" the wish for the amusement of the djinn.

Took a break from working on Belle 8, don't worry its almost done, to write this little bit.

Tim looked at me in shock, and Tina had an angry look on her face as she followed him out the door. We could hear them arguing in the hallway, and when it quieted down, Tina came back with tears in her eyes.

“He’s very angry. He feels that you’ve deceived him, and that you have corrupted both Tim and I. He plans to expose you for the ‘evil temptresses’ that he says you are.”

“What will you do?” I asked. What had I done? How would this affect Tim and I?

This is a very short entry. I have wanted to work on this story for sometime, but life has a penchant for getting in the way. Now that I'm ready to work on this story again, I wanted to post this chapter and get a feel from the readers if I'm going in the right direction before I start writing more chapters. One of two things can happen. I can continue in this direction and expand on Amber's connection to the still nameless Society and why she's so important to them, or I can make it to where Amber will never have gotten the letter, and she would be in the dark about her true purpose and the events that led her to becoming a 17 year old girl.
