On the way back to the farm I had Emilita sitting next to me. She asked me how I managed to have five days off in my first stint and I said I was just lucky, I guess. I did point out that every opening hour that I missed was paid for and she did have to concede the point. Celestina wanted to know about the lady with the black Skoda and I told them she was called Portia and owned a big security company and liked the way we had sex. That seemed to settle them. I knew the rest of it was so wild they would never believe me, even though it was true.

A law in the reign of Queen Elizabeth the First declared “None shall wear in his apparel satin, damask, silk, camlet (angora) or taffeta in gown, coat, hose or uppermost garments except that he may dispend £100 by the year.” The article went on about the colours that were allowed - red, purple and so on.

Wow. What an opportunity ….. for anyone born a bit over 400 years ago and had sufficient wealth to dispend. Could it really be true that the male was the flamboyant peacock? I knew some of the words for the materials but I knew nothing about their reality. Once more I looked with disgust and despair into my wardrobe and at the drawers open beside my bed. Drab, dull, grey, black, blue, BORING. Oh to be in Elizabethan times.

I can’t get dressed

I hate this bloody pandemic. I want to get dressed and I can’t. I daren’t. My flatmates might not like it.

Authors note : I haven’t posted for a while now. Back in Dec 2018, I finished my set of 500-word ‘starter stories’ and the only person who took one and added a sequel ….. was me! Then the writing monkey took a break and couldn’t give me any worthwhile stories. Recently, I re-read some of my own stories and got a bit interested again. This started out as a short story about princesses, somehow I got lost.

I was the youngest of three siblings growing up. My older sisters Kat and Debbie were both older by a year or two. My mom Joanne, and dad John, were products of the war generation which made my siblings and me ‘baby boomers’. I grew up in a suburban neighborhood and had a middle-class neighborhood upbringing.

The drive back home was pretty uneventful, Lisa just sat behind the wheel smiling ear to ear. She had had an awesome day so far, making out with two gorgeous women and now she would spend some quality time with her sissy boyfriend. Marcy was very worried about that quality time. When the quarantine started, over ten weeks ago, I began dressing 100% of the time as my alter ego feminine self: ‘Donna’. I’m retired, single, in my mid 60’s, a quarantined crossdresser and I’m bored. It’s been more than two months of ‘sheltering in place’ seclusion and I’ve been having unsettling thoughts that I’ve never had before. Maybe that’s normal as you age. What is not normal is I’ve begun wondering what a physical relationship with a man would be like. Maybe it’s a ‘getting old’ phenomenon.

This is my story about my life in pantyhose and how it all began.

I grew up in a house with my single mom and my sister who was a two and a half years older than me. It was the summer of '86 and I was 8 years old. Back in those days it wasn't a big deal to leave a child my age at home by themselves. I lived on a street that had plenty of kids my own age and many of them were my friends. If I was home by myself and needed any help I had plenty of adults to go to.

My father was known as “Snake” Gibbon. It was a good name. As hard men go he was not a “Bull” or a “Bear”, he was more like a snake. He was thin and wiry, which sharp, vicious features and greasy long hair in a queue down his back. He was known for getting own way, however he could, including stabbing people in the back, not always with a blade.

Sometimes life imitates art and sometimes humor can provide comfort in a time of crisis. This is an update of a story I wrote three years ago thinking it was a parody. Hopefully, it still is. Please all stay safe and be well.

“If you don’t mind watching over the sissies for a bit, I will go look around for the exact outfit I have in mind. I don’t trust Stephanie to get it just right. On Monday morning Mark got woken up rather roughly. It was only 7:30 am, but his phone was going off loudly. Confused he picked it up to see who would call at this ungodly hour. Nerves instantly struck him when he saw his girlfriend’s caller ID pop up.
