The Distant Queen

This story is mainly about a romance between two young women who are from two different worlds. It's a fantasy story with some adventure but there are no mythical creatures and there isn't a lot of magic. It's really a sweet and tender romantic comedy with a mostly happy ending.

In chapter 6 (of 11), Gabrielle continues on her quest to get home with the help of a new friend, a woman she finds increasingly attractive. Will she resist temptation and focus on her quest?

It's funny how things happen sometimes. You're stumbling along as normal and suddenly because of some random event everything flips upside down.

"You want to sleep on it?" Larry asked.

"I don't think I can in this corset."

"A pill?"

"No. I'm going to read this contract again. Buy-out clauses. Extension options. Twenty-five hours a week for classes. Five days off a month and a three week all-expenses-paid vacation. But it doesn't say what 'personal services' are."

Rick is very thankful that Stan the Sprite showed up to save he and his family from a fatal car accident. But when a magical creature with a gambling problem asks you for "one little favor" in return for his help, you can be sure that there'll be nothing little about it!

“Hey Kerry?”

“Could I dress you as a girl sometime?”

“I would love it if you would... although... I would be kind of nervous to do it around here, at least for now.”

They had Sydney’s and Trish’s attention. Melanie gently put one hand on Kerry’s shoulder.

“I hear you loud and clear. Why don’t we set it up so that you three can hang out at my place for a weekend?”

"Frankie Al Nez will pay my rent, pay for my schooling, give me an allowance and all I have to do is dress like this" --Davey gestured at his tight leather dress-- "and read to him?"

Davey explored the apartment. The kitchenette had a small refrigerator, a three burner range-top, a tiny electric oven, a microwave and a sink, all surrounded by blond cabinetry. "It's so cute," he said.

Author's note: This story starts slowly. It takes several chapters to create the setting and background. The romance just barely begins in chapter 4 and doesn't start to blossom until chapter 6. Please be patient. Please? :)
