As I was close to Grimsby, I went and had a first-hand look at the dumping places. I could see similarities with them all, except that one at Hewitts Circus. If Gordon retired at seventy, that would have been 2017. The murders and dumping had stopped at that time. Perhaps we were really looking at a strong woman with a dildo, rather than a pervert with condoms.

76 - Cloth and Blades

“Hello Amy. This is George,” said the driver into his phone after parking in one of the layby’s that provided a place of refuge from the fast moving traffic.

Chapter 2

When Julia and Jessica came out and shed their suits, they had the bones, or parts of bones, in bags, along with the ammunition box, as well as three different saws that they had found, one being a tree saw. A squad car had arrived, so Jackson gave them their orders, shook hands with the three of us, and went off to his office to pull out all of the case files.

Jada was a little demon, only about eighteen inches tall, with short horns, bat-like wings similar to mine, short reddish-brown fur, and cute little hooves. I picked her up and gave her a piggyback ride with her legs around my left neck.

 

Britt was an angel of the same height, with feathery wings and mostly-human legs with bird-like feet, wearing a white robe. I picked her up, too, and she straddled my right neck.

She gave a good look at what was arranged on Marcia’s vanity and moved her head in a manner that suggested the cosmetics just wouldn’t do for the day. Chapter 5

We allowed the couple some time to get their act back together. Margaret pointed us to a downstairs powder room while they went upstairs to freshen up. We all looked a lot better when we sat at the dining table for lunch. The talk was now less emotional, but no less serious, as we discussed possible outcomes.
