Gabi Bunton

Taxonomy upgrade extras:

Just after I wrote tonight's episode of Bike, I phoned Gabi, who likes to hear them before I post them and frequently makes useful comments. Tonight, Gabi didn't sound very well, and said she was going to lay on the bed and would phone me back in a few minutes. I waited half and hour and she hadn't called back and when I tried calling her, no answer.

A few weeks ago, as if by premonition, she gave me her next door neighbour's number - I called them and after some confusion over key safe numbers, they managed to gain access to Gabi's house in rural Oxfordshire.

The US based chain "Target" has been exploring coming to Canada, and is in the process of buying several stores belonging to our chain, and it looks like ours is one of them. If it happens all the employees will be laid off, and have to either apply with they new company, or at other locations of our current one. I hope I am gone before that happens.

Well, this is a mild rant. I dont talk much about politics, mostly because this site isnt the place for it, and in any case, no non-canadian would have a clue what I am talking about. But for the last while, the ruling party has been running attack ads on the leader of the main opposition party. Problem with that is, no election has been called, and there may not be one for a year or more. By then, I may throw my tv out the window rather than look at another one of these ads....

In short: I took her to the ER for severe abdominal pains a few weeks back. An ER doc and a Oncology doc told her she had ovarian cancer and she'd be dead very soon. Nice huh? All of this without a biopsy just a CAT scan. I twigged the next day that it wasn't possible to declare it cancer without that.

I am currently reading a most enjoyable series where the protagonist is in seventh grade.

As a Brit I have not grasped the age of this pupil (student?)

In Britain we start school at the age of five and attend "primary one. WE stay in primary school up to primary seven when at the age of twelve we move on to secondary school. (The big school) This is where we proceed through secondary one to secondary four where we leave at sixteen. There is an option to stay on for an extra two years i.e until the age of eighteen but it is not mandatory.

More or less. Reparable things like typos, punctuation errors, typography, or presentation errors (spacing, non-appearance of images, etc.) should not be mentioned in public comments because that would necessitate an admin removing the comment after the fault is fixed. The graphics are extremely well done and I was wondering if anyone else on this site plays this game as well.

If you don't but are interested in trying it out and I could help you. It is an MMORPG or a massively multi-player online role playing game. However it is relatively simple and the user interface is not complex.

If either of the above are true PM me on this site will guarantee that I see your message and get back to you.

Questions about a "Transformation" site/store

Hello all :)

In my perusings I came across the site http://www.transformation.co.uk/en/home and wondered what other people thought about it? It looks like some of their products may be wonderful for the TG community. Artificial breasts, vaginas...etc. Looks like they may be of nice quality and would certainly be desirable. I don't know if the prices are reasonable as I don't shop for things like that.

A Letter From the Author:

Hi everyone,

I'm going to start by saying that Book Three is by no means finished. I have the first six chapters pretty much 'ready' after two months of hard work. As I move forward, I'm going to be taking greater care in my writing than I have in the past.

Interview With A Fantasy

Authors of transgender fiction have written many stories on the theme of the male who became a female fashion model. What is it they say about "truth is stranger than fiction?" A young Serbian-Australian man is now the hottest thing on the female fashion runways of London and Paris. His* story trumps many of the fictional ones I've enjoyed reading here.

Here is an interview by an Australian television station with Andrej Pejic, his family, peers, and others in the fashion world.

Sometimes life is shitty...

The universe seems to be dropping great piles of poo on me from a great height. First, work has been a bitch, then I get the cold which leaves me with the cough for weeks.

Last weekend I had trouble with the gears on my bike and it might ultimately mean new gear/brake levers - they're not cheap.

Kudos by title

I just wondered if it was possible/difficult to pull out kudos for each story, possibly put it as a separate column in the my stories page. From my PoV it would be useful to see which of my stories/chapters were better appreciated (more specifically to see which ones bombed so that I don't repeat the same mistakes).

Sorry Erin if this opens a can of worms.

My Mother Called This Evening With, "Good News"

Edeyn At least, that’s what she said. I think it is more Pleasant News than Good News, personally, because it does bring up a lot of anguish from within me.

My baby brother died in September of 2007, on his way to school as a Freshman in High School (grade 9 for you non-North Americans). Home was between 100 and 110 meters from school. An old man (80+) was doing over 70mph (112kph) in the school speed zone during the time that most children are walking to school.

OK, you may as well know.

Well, I had an MRI a couple weeks ago, and now I know why things are the way they are. As far as I am concerned, I function pretty well, have no physical disabilities, and have been pretty successful in life. One thing that has always bothered me is that in certain social situations, I just mess up. I just don't understand what is going on.

Negitive self-image

Taxonomy upgrade extras:

I have been fighting a losing battle with negative self-image lately, and yesterday, I think I figured out why. I was working in the health and beauty department, restocking the hair color isle, when it hit me. Every box I put on the shelf had a picture of a beautiful woman, with flawless skin, amazing hair, and all the rest. Each picture was like water torture, eroding my ability to see myself as passable, much less pretty. I have to keep fighting this feeling. Despair is deadly.

Story word counts

Taxonomy upgrade extras:

I just about have Ch 3 ready, finally, and this afternoon was looking at the other two chapters to see how they matched up with Ch 3 and at the heading of one of the chapters, it said the word count was about 40,000 words. Well I already knew that from my having done most of my writing in MS Word; though I am now using Works until I work out some issues with using Word. That works out to about 25 pages and for me that seems like a comfortable amount of work to do per chapter.

I have just started on a possible sequal to Princess and the Plague, which I guess is a sequal to Camp Kumoni. I have some ideas, but am not quite sure how I want to play them out. I want to get a few episodes written before I begin posting, It might be a few weeks, but wanted to let you know that I haven't given up on the story, yet.

A.A.

p.s. I'm still trying to come up with a title for it too.
