Sometimes, I get these odd impressions that defy logic and reality. Like sometimes i get an impression of having breasts that is almost real enough to make me cry. But today, I had an impression that went the other way. It was a very masculine impression, of having a sword and shield, and protecting a female from a monster. Make what you will of that.

Sorry I haven't been commenting much. I've been enchanted by SaraUK's wonderful series "You Have It All Wrong". It's such a great story that I haven't been reading the new stuff very much!

Well, "Rock Star Makeover" is wrapped up, and I want to thank everyone who took the time to comment or leave a kudo. Thanks to all of you. For those who prefer to read a story in one sitting, the whole story is up on Fictionmania, if you want to check it out there. But I want to give fair warning. Although this story was "sweet/sentimental" and I'm happy with that, dont assume I'll always produce that type from here on. I have some dark corners in my head, and at some point I may go into them through my writing.

This was always intended to be a play on words title in honour to Shakespeare's line, "What light throught yonder window breaks, it is the sun and Juliet is the East."
I recently thought of new directions for the plot and therefore am making it With acts and scenes.
Every scene will be a chapter or installment. Every act will be the beginning and end of a major aspect of the story.

I'm not sure how many people here watch Smallville but I've been a frequent viewer for the last ten years. You may have noticed that neither I nor PS have been updating the Bike summary spreadsheet recently. Unfortunately, we've both been quite busy recently, and as I often now read it first thing in the morning before heading to work, I don't have time to update it until the evening, when I tend to forget to re-read the last episode and update it.

I was out today, on the bike, walking around a nature reserve with friends, and for the first time ever we were able to discuss the elephant in the room. I was, I am, in such a position that I needed reassurance, and to talk my life over.Now, I know they are friends, and they know about me, but for the first time I was reminded why I write supportive characters. As 'normal' as can be, married, two kids, they were totally without reservations in supporting me, and I realise I am actually blessed. Don't want to go into too much rambling, but I am now smiling.

I should be the last to complain as I am not creative as our wonderful Authors are,BUT I have 15 stories that I have started to read (I like to print all my stories to read them complete) and thier have been no new chapters in over 2 weeks ,it is because life comes first or because negative comments?? Don't stop writing because a few people done like the sart of the story write for your enjoyment and the enjoyment of those who love to read these great stories.

For those of you who like them I am hoping to post the second part of my serial today. Thanks to one and all for the comments and kudos. part 1.1 may seem more like an added chapter, and will fill some plot holes from the first part. Once upon a time, I expected most of my stuff to receive double figures in comments and vie with the best in the then voting system. Things have changed and sometimes I only get a handful, although my core readership remains about the same so I still enjoy entertaining them with my scribbles.

Well, I had an unusual incident at a local McDonalds. I was taking my ex home from her 2nd job with my daughter in tow, when she asked if she could pick something up. I had no objection, so we went. I was waiting in the car with my daughter while she went in to get her stuff. While I was waiting, this young man came out, and he had a "wet floor" sign under his jacket, and he started to walk away. I did something totally out of character for me. I got out of the car, and asked him what he was doing. I basically shamed him into returning the sign.

So as I'm staring at my stories page, I noticed that Becoming Robin is 4 hits away from 10,000. The next closest is chapters 2 and 3 at around 6.5k so of course hits don't mean much :-) But since Robin is technically one year old at this point (Though her 1 year anniversary is in a couple of weeks) I thought I'd post something appropriate.

well after the complete and total loss AKA crash of my last computer... Hopefully I am back and can submit some story's again. My best wishes to all who might have been waiting for my next post. And a word of friendly advice...backups, backups, backups. Master copies of your work are far more valuable than you might think. Your time alone is worth something and you could loose it all in crash... Ask me I know....lol hope you all enjoy the next post...

Well, the tribe has spoken, as it were. Everyone who gave me an opinion on the dilemma I was facing with the next two chapters of RSM said post the two chapters together, so that's how it will go. They will be up tomorrow, and I will leave the chapter heading between so you can see where the cliffhanger was. I hope you guys enjoy them.

I just finished recording the dates and information for Sarah Carerra, which I always do as I begin writing a new episode of 12-String. I like knowing where Megan is when I'm writting.

The interplay has gotten complex enough that I actually have the dates from broth Sarah Carerra and 12-String in an Excel spreadsheet.

Have I mentioned in the past that I'm a bit over-organizational?

I catch up with Sarah Carerra in the next episode, unless I end up writing 10k words about the Juilliard audition. While possible, it is unlikely.

So, apparently my editor had some real life difficulties. This caused delays. I do not blame her for this. Just letting people know. 12-String in the future will be coming as it comes.

I guess I still think of this one as my flagship product :)

This highlights the struggle of larger T folk very well. I know that they can not change what is in their heads and they are stuck with a body that they feel considerable pain over. My only, heart felt, suggestion is to do the best you can.

Anybody who has followed my blog here probably can tell that I have, on occasion, struggled with negative self-talk. I'm starting to realize how much this has held me back. It becomes as self-fulfilling prophesy, where I make mistakes because I expect to make mistakes. Its not going to be easy to get rid of a habit that ingrained, but I have to, if I want to make any progress. So I'm asking everyone here to help keep my accountable. If I start whining and feeling sorry for myself, give me a boot in the back of the skirt, okay?

I am afraid that because of changed circumstances in my life, it is highly unlikely that I will be able to post any new stories in the foreseeable future, perhaps forever. I would therefore like to thank Erin for allowing me to post stories here for several years, despite the relatively low readership, and to the few people who continued to take an interest in what I wrote.

Well, this morning I found an interesting job posting. It was with a retail store that focuses on home repair. The world has changed for the better for us, at least here, which is good to know.

I am posting this, because I am curious on how you came up with your name. I will start by telling you how I came up with mine. Lesley is from one of my favorite female rock stars. I liked the sound of the name, liked its meaning and it sort of fit my personality. Renee was a suggestion of a person I was chatting with at the time. It was one of his favorite names. I liked it, plus it was the name of one of the girls I grew up with and liked and it to some how fit me. Charles is my male middle name. I kept as a link to my past.

A peculiar noise woke me this morning -- the sound of snow sliding off the carport roof. We had about two inches of snow last night. It's bright and sunny now and well above freezing so the fluffy white stuff is not going to last till noon but I'm sure the people in the ski resorts on the mountains would rather have it up there than down here. :)

My dad was rather out of it for a couple days after his heart valve replacement so I understand why she wouldn't have had an opportunity or the energy to post any message after having multiple bypasses.

Still not much movement on Crossroads BUT I have been having idea's flicker here and there so that's a good sign. Been working on a few other things but nothing that done enough to print.

All that sad admission of low productivity aside how ever I wanted to share a little list of things that i made. Specifically it's a list of things to avoid in stories.

This is about Violence in stories and may be triggering to many.

So, some of the stories I'm reading just take me to a very dark place and make me very bad company. A few times, various people have asked me to write my own story, so I started on it. Below is an excerpt. This is not for the faint of heart. It spans about a 3 month period in my life. Does anyone really want to read 15 or 16 years of this crap? Does it make you feel like someone beat you up?

Well, the interview went well, and I will find out on Tuesday if I got the job. On the writing front, I am finding my little story may not end up being as little as I thought. Running at about 10 K right now, and showing no signs of slowing down. I may end up just posting part 1 and letting things get started. What do you guys think?
