I’m doing the shivery weepy thing while looking at the spot that where my daddy is buried and I can’t, I can’t get just dad there in my head and I don’t know if it’s the ghost voice of the little kid version of me bubbling up in my head or that I’m really turning into that much of a girl.

It hurts…fuck it hurts like my throats all clenched up and someone’s sort of sitting on my chest and I can’t stop crying.

Then Alex holds me and I have a flashback.

“Shane.” I could feel the refusal in the way he said my name. The way that he is refusing everything I am.

“Steven….” I shiver but I feel Chris tighten his hold around me. God that helps so much.

“Shut the hell up Steven.” Shawn says sort of snarling at him.

“Fuck you nerd, keep hiding behind you woman’s skirts. The little faggot shouldn’t be here.”

“Steven….” Uncle Roth says warningly.

“What? What you’re just here for what you can get Rothman. You never bothered with us before and now when things are all up in the air you’re here? The faggot’s here and….” He gestures at Chris. “And who the fuck is this?”

Chris just looked at him. “I’m your sister Shayne’s boyfriend.”

The first few days I’ll admit to being totally in love with where I’m living and being afraid of it all at the same time. Lizzie did take me to Halifax again the next day after the party to a medical prosthetics shop and she bought me breast forms that getter fit my body size.

So I’m a c-cup now and these are really made of that new silicone stuff and are flesh colored and they even come with a medical adhesive. No not like the stuff in those internet stories that seems to be like superglue but the stuff is water proof.

Iggy’s looking not that well as she looks at me and she looks at the cops and she sort of pulls herself up to where she’s sitting and she’s pulling her legs up. I sit beside her and she does this little lead against me and I slip an arm around her behind her back.

She’s quiet for awhile and just looking at her I can see her pulling away and getting distant like she’s lost inside her head.

“Iggy?”

“I was five…? I think when he first started…he’d tell me I was pretty…told me that I was special his perfect little girl.”

An irresponsible teenage boy is turned into a little girl by his terrible family. How will Kimmy, as she is now known, cope with the nightmare she is about to endure? Can she?

Most people who knew the old me would have told you I never would have amounted to anything other than a long time occupant of a federal hotel if you know what I mean.

But here I am on this stage fixing to receive my BIO chemical engineering degree, I would like to see the look on their faces, of coarse they would most likely never recognize me unless they knew what happened.

Dad knocked lightly, before pushing open the door to Michael’s room, also known as the Blue Room or the CAVE (Churchman Avenue Video Emporium).

The dark blue paint and matching carpet made it obvious to anyone why it was known as the Blue Room. The ultimate collection of the latest video game hardware that filled one wall and the shelves full of video games that filled two others, left no doubt as to why it was called the CAVE by every kid in the neighbourhood who was a video game junkie.

The first room they stopped at was on the left and had double occupancy. Even before Momma and Dad peeked in, the sounds of Justin Beiber singing “Baby” told anyone in the house and on Churchman Avenue, what two girls shared this room.

“Doesn’t Destiny ever get tired of that song?” Dad cringed as Momma went to her baby’s bedside and turned off the disc player.

You know there are times when you know without a shadow of a doubt when someone’s in love with you. I wake up in bed with Alex and I know it so deep I’m having one of my Ow my heart moments right off the bat.

I cried, I cried all the little kid tears that we hide away in real life. I lost my Dad and my life became this goddamned horror show. But really…mostly because I was really scared to death to…I never got to mourn him.

I look at Alex and Adam and sort of smile at both of them wiping at my own eyes. I’m feeling better even with all of this out sort of in the open now but the boys of course are still being the boys.

I’m still sort of being hugged by Adam and I use the position to sort of drag him over to Alex and we all sort of end up sitting on the stairs. Me actually in between both of them.

McKenzie is enjoying the park when he sees StacyLyn with her family on the trail ahead. Will she out him or be nice?
