Chapter 9.

Sable is pretty cool and she hangs around while Dad and our lawyer get things straighten out a bit more with the principal and the school and there’s still enough of the hub-bub going on with the LGBT crowd and their family and supporters and the Church types and the cops after idiot jumped and whacked the principal with his paper weight in a fit of right winged churchy moronity.

Dad’s on the phone with Mom and stuff and stuff every once and awhile and it’s fairly late when we get out of the whole thing and get to the parking lot.

Sable and I are holding hands on the way there. I’m not really sure how that happened but hey I’m not really going to look the gift horse in the mouth y’know. Dad’s getting in the car and stops.

“Sable the food and stuff was a godsend but the wife wanted to know if you’d like to come over to the house for some supper?”

Chapter 11

I have a headache.

And the worst taste in my mouth in a long time. It’s like sweat mixed with lots of copper. I look over to the others and I’m watching Kai or Shane being led over the ambulance too.
She really kicked butt today. I’d have liked to have helped her out more but I got stun blaster by a Barbie-girl.
No I’m not joking.
We were shopping and there was an armed robbery at this ladies shopping store by seven girls dressed up as Barbie.
Like the dolls, the toys and the videos.
All talking in “Vale” and all of them with those synth-skin movie masks to look like Barbie…and voice disguisers to sound like Barbie…

Okay, so it might have hit a sore spot with me about the whole Barbie ditz old me thing.

You’re able to dress up in armor cloth, afford these custom disguises and grenades and stun blasters…..and becoming seven Barbie clones is what you come up with?!?

Fucking Barbie?....barf, retch…

I take a deep breath and try a smile. “Hi…everyone…”

Dad’s looking at me. “Sunny we need to talk…”

Yeah that happened already, but my mind just had to replay the whole thing because the next thing that he said was. “Now Young Man.”

I’m taking a seat at the table and my Mom’s serving out coffee and she’s giving me the strangest of looks. She pours me a cup and I’m looking at her and Dad and Overdrive and Mrs. Champion…. “You had to tell them?”

Chapter 4

I look at them there’s about fifteen of them and about nine of them are guys. I don’t really look at them. There’s two that look like the want to hurt me. No, it’s the six girls I’m watching. They’re the ones with the pissed beyond pissed look to their faces. It’s the same thing really in most places. Most of these guys are the boyfriends here because they have to; they really don’t want much to do with beating on “a girl”.

Oh yay they’re still coming over.

I grab my burger again and stuff a lot of it into my mouth. I’m not a pig, but I can be. One of the easiest unladylike things I can do is to take this big ole chomping bite of something I’m eating and be as messy as possible. There’s ketchup on my face and dripping out my burger.

I get up and shake off the shock and grab the skirts of it and I try to run. One of the cops catches up to me and grabs me. I tuck into him and throw him over my shoulder and run in another direction. Or rather I try to run except for this goddamned thing around my legs and of course it fell back down when I flipped the cop.

Peter was the other half of fraternal twins. His sister, Loreen, was only several minutes older. When people saw them together, they knew from a strong physical resemblance that they were indeed brother and sister, but not necessarily twins.

They did share many physical characteristics as well as mannerisms. Indeed they often dressed in a similar mode of fashion. They also had many common likes and dislikes. But most of all, they were as close as brother and sister could possible be.
