Having my sister here brought back a lot of memories. Even though she is a year younger than I am she caught up with me in height and for a little bit she was taller until we both stopped at five two. Many people mistook us for twins as we acted alike and drove our parents nuts like most kids. Even with short hair and boy's clothes people thought I was a girl more than half the time. Even worse when she would wear my clothes as well. It somewhat stopped as my voice deepened, but there was always someone who would point it out, or be shocked speechless when I spoke.

The travelers have been ensnared in Horvik's mansion and they must find a way to leave without further bloodshed. Eventually a method is found and the voyage resumes. The weather favors them and they just make the city of Joth as the sun sets.

8 - Tactical Withdrawal

This is the end of this story, it should wrap up the loose ends I had in the story. Hopefully, I didn't miss any big ones. Enjoy!

I decided to add the Lesbian Romance tag, as it seemed to permit me to end the story on a slightly romantic note.

Jackie Stormhouse walked into the courtroom, flashing a brief smile at the bailiff, Sam Orlando, before taking her seat at the plaintiff's table.

The date was Tuesday, February 21, 2017. There hadn't been much progress yet in the retrieval of the three girls' school records.

Walking back home from Aurora's Halloween party, Underdog and the cosmonaut were far from the strangest thing on the streets this warm Halloween weekend night. It seemed all the frustrated creativity in West Hollywood came out that night.

“Ruble for your thought” I said in my lame attempt at a 'Natasha' accent.
He chuckled quietly. “I was just thinking about that guy at the party. The one who gave me his card. I told him I don't do musical impressions.... well, not singers.... sure, I can play like anyone from Hendrix to Alvino Rey, but.... voices? ….man, that's something else.... still he seems to think we could do something together. ….I have no idea what.....”

“One way to find out.” I said quietly. “Call the guy Monday.” Colin nodded but remained lost in thought. “...but if he wants you to come in the underdog costume... hang up!”

That worked. Colin let out one loud laugh. And the grin returned to his face as he came back to the present.

Colin and I were inseparable through the holiday season.

“Hey Josie, are you done with the repairs to patrol car 340 yet?” Earl walks over to where Josie was working.

Josie comes sliding out from under the patrol car she was working on. She was in the process of draining the oil. She looks up at Earl as he stood in front of her.

“Yes, so is patrol car 451 and 254 as well. All three are ready to go back out on the road.”

“It’s about time.”

“If you would recruit people who know something about cars. I wouldn’t have to go back and fixed their screw-up.” Josie hated going back and fixing other mechanics messes.
