Chapter Fourteen – Supergirls Bangkok

HMS Ark Royal pays a two week visit to Bangkok Thailand and Michele hooks with Ling, a Kai Tai or Katoohey, who becomes her lover and her friend. Spike turns up as usual intent on making Michele's life miserable and an altercation in a Patpong bar may be the tipping point for Michele's tolerance of Spike's brutal behavior.

Moment of truth. I'm in the hospital's cybercafe. It's three am so I have the place to myself and I'm about to do what I've been putting off since Michael told me the secret, or at least, what he claimed was the secret. I google 'Marcus Julius Naso', the name Michael told me was mine. .

Then I look at my search results and shudder. I attempted to usurp the throne of the Roman Empire before being assassinated in 407 AD? Oh, wait, that's the wrong Marcus Julius Naso!

Chapter Nine – Pink Pussycats

The ROP has come to an end at HMS Chelmsford but not the girl's penchant for crossdressing. The 'grommets' get a week's leave and Michele takes her charges to Pink Pussycats nightclub for some fun. Jason turns up and drunk and tries to spoil the evening.

The morning dawns as the Visund takes on a new passenger. At their next stop, the town market must be inspected to find clothing and footwear for the mystery woman, who is offered a temporary name. Eriana is introduced to the afternoon nap and asked to design... trousers?

How powerful is a supernova compared to an atomic bomb? At Hiroshima, less then 1 kg of uranium went fission. Imagine that we fill the Sun with plutonium and detonate it. Compared to a supernova, the blast will be like a campfire compared with an erupting volcano (an answer I got from an astrophysicist working for NASA).
