Well, it looks like my store may be sold. The US based chain "Target" has been exploring coming to Canada, and is in the process of buying several stores belonging to our chain, and it looks like ours is one of them. If it happens all the employees will be laid off, and have to either apply with they new company, or at other locations of our current one. I hope I am gone before that happens.

I've almost posted something about my upcoming event twice, only to realize that someone else might feel I was upstaging a post they made that day.

In 62 hours, I will enter courtroom 60 in the county seat, and go before the judge.

I fully expect to walk out with a piece of paper that tells me my legal name is now:
HOLLY H HART,
and go from there to the Department of Motor Vehicles to start the process of getting a driver's license that say the same AND that my gender is F.

She'll be offline for awhile until she can either afford to get it fixed or buy a different one. She called me this morning and asked me to post a blog to let people know so they won't worry if they don't see her online for a few days... so I'm letting you all know! LOL. Those of you who don't know her yet as Khadijah, will probably remember her as Gwen Brown or Khadijahgwen.

It's curious, I just watched the Bond equality thing and pondered on it. Thought it was quite good actually, if a little static.

Anyway, I am aware of abuse and violence and the general low opinion that people such as myself and many here are regarded with? In? Whatever. Still it was largely academic.

That is until last night....

OK, so they're more Batman than Superman (i.e. no extraordinary abilities), but according to The Currant Bun, there are at least sixteen patrolling the streets of Britain. And they're probably not TG, but nonetheless may be of interest to fans of the Comics Retcon Universe (and similarly themed stories)...

Well, I just had a big dust-up with my mother. She is totally afraid that I won't be able to be accepted by the world at large as Dorothy, and I will not be able to meet my obligations. I know its mostly because of her own exhaustion and stress, but it still hurt.

Well, talk about a change of fortunes.

Not only have I got my job - which I will be starting tomorrow (phew!), but we also have eight houses to look at when we go to France next month over the Easter break.

But it doesn't end there, oh no.

I never got to know this guy very well when I was at college, but he was a well-loved figure on campus, even for those of us who weren't religious. Now he's gone we're all poorer for his passing. Would that everyone in various churches was as tolerant and giving.

well, i was rather stupid. I have been fighting tooth pain the last couple of days, and i had the chance to go to see a dentist today, and didn't take it. It would have meant waiting most of the day at the ER, and i felt better by the time i might have considered it. Now, i dont know when i might have another shot, and i wishing i had gone.

My church has been an important part of my life and the family has been in a single one for over 20 years now... Will I still be able to attend after transition?

In fact, it's kind of the opposite. I just scrolled down my "My Stories" page and near the bottom is a page that has suddenly over 50 daily hits. That's not bad for something a month old. But this is something 3 years, 4 months, 1 week, and 3 days old. Wow.

Well, it's becoming more and more obvious that we need to upgrade to Drupal 6. We've got several Drupal 6 sites now running, Stardust is on 6. So, it's time to upgrade TopShelf.

We're going to do a dummy version first, probably this week and then later, in a week or a month when we're convinced it's going to work, take BCTS down while we do the conversion on live data.
