Thanks to a few of our British sisters, I'm relatively certain that my British characters aren't speaking in American.

This is an account of an American's visit to London England an how he felt about attending a fancy dress party. Something he'd only experienced at Halloween and not since eighth grade. But then this wasn't like any Halloween party he'd ever been to.

Part Seven

The team found a small clearing near the beach, and settled in for a well-deserved rest. They had another uncomfortable day to pass, the enforced idleness weighing heavily on them. To their surprise, though, most managed to get plenty of sleep. They were all tired, even though they all had more than human physical traits. This was largely because of the combined stress of their mission and the relief of accomplishing their mission, rather than because of any actual exertion. Now, they only needed to escape.

This is the start to a short series that I had no idea I could, or would, write. It comes about from all the nice comments I received about the set of ‘Polly’ stories.

Allan arranged a gig on a Saturday night at a civic party. We did our new look show and it went well. I wasn’t highly excited about it. We played our music and then went home. I may have been the only one feeling a bit jaundiced. But I did have a lot of other things on my mind.

I wondered if it was the prospect of being a father that outweighed the upgrade of becoming a woman. Was I worried about the future of the farm against my likely career as a music star / model / businesswoman?

The lights in the conning tower of the submarine were currently red. This to preserve the night vision of the team of commandos, the crew members guiding the sub and those preparing the small vessel the team would use to reach the shore. Bedsides operating without lights, they were all being very quiet. They were also dressed warmly.

"The water is pretty cold, even this time of year," said the First Mate.

"So don't fall in," said Reynard, wryly.

"Exactly."

Chapter 11

I’d been lucky with my purchases, getting four beautiful skirt suits in different colors as well as some good blouses, shoes, and more lingerie. I was also very lucky to pick up a ski jacket in bright pink for when the winter really kicked in.

Friday, I dressed in one of my outfits that I knew Josie liked seeing me in, to pick her up. She must have been watching for me because I had hardly got out of the car when she came out of the house to hug me. “Edie, I so missed you. Wait until I get you in bed, tonight.”

Jo makes decisions that will change her life forever, getting near the point of no turning back.

Part Four

Hi everyone, before I continue I would like to give a little view into my life at that time.

Mom, what can I say she was a wonderful mother very supportive of everything my sister and I did with all the love she had.

My sis was 3 years older than me and being a real jock she had her own group of friends and from what vibe I got from her she wanted nothing to do with me especially when mom and I were exploring my other side, of course mom always tried to kept it out of sight so nobody got uncomfortable to a certain point as you will see, she was a great mom.

This was NANA’s anniversary, or the weekend closest to it, anyway, and there was a big party. The magical members cast a special spell for the event. Anybody in town who didn’t know about powers would simply not be interested in what was going on in the park, on top of the usual spell that would cause them to not see anybody flying or with green skin or whatever. So it was an event where people could let out their powers in public more than they normally could.

Chapter 10

After lunch the other girls left. Pet and Emily would be coming back Friday afternoon -- but we wouldn’t see the others until we met at the Dude for our last show for some time. They had booked another band for a three-month stint.

It seems that my Muse shared an amphora of The Good Stuff with Bacchus, from his Private Cellar.

And she came back with this “hangover” drabble.

No real bugs were harmed in writing this offering.

What is the sound of one egg shell breaking?

Keir leaned against the stack of pillows, grateful that he finally had enough strength to weave a simple anti-pain spell. The drugs he'd been given had made his mind fuzzy and kept him too tired to do much more than sleep. He knew he needed the sleep, he was still too weak to leave his bed. But he also had things to do, or at least to plan.
