Very generous to his staff and if the company was doing well we all got bonuses. Yes, Owen tech was going places. “Your agent is on the phone.”

I sighed. Despite me telling my agent more than once to use my mobile, she continued to use the landline.

“Ok. I’m coming.”

The morning as with many mornings recently, had not been that productive in terms of writing my next novel. I was sure that my agent, Agatha Smythe-Hall was calling to check on progress. I knew what I wanted to write but it would just not come out in any sort of even semi-readable text.

I went downstairs and took the phone.

Mike would flatter them. A little sugar always got the flies. It worked with real women, but with women like Susan, it was always easier. They lost most of their friends and family doing what they do.

Necromantic magic surged into the large stone room that had been Keir's tomb for three centuries. His new eyes took in the scene, the guards had raised their weapons. Six of them had drawn swords that glowed a purifying blue, raising them defensively against the ghostly hands which filled the room, while the remaining two pointed their arquebus-like weapons at his chest.

“It’s only a few yards shorter and the lie is better”. Or how about this one – “I am not going to drag my clubs over there when the trail ends here – this tee will do.”

I could protest as much as I liked, but he just gave his usual smile. It was always hard to stay mad when he did that, but it always irked me, especially when I followed the rules.
