Retired and independently wealthy, 60 year old Stan Berman discovered he had only 12-18 months to live due to a rare neurological syndrome that would sap his strength and motor skills, but the symptoms would not onset for at least a year. This like many of my stories came to me in a dream, and then was written in a single sitting. I was thinking about the dongle in the story as I need one myself to get my second monitor working, I have one already but a second would be handy.

Some liberties have been taken both with the actual adaptor and with the IT department and it’s network. Mainly as they mean the story works.

An unexpected visit to Tulem brings an unwelcome surprise. Kat and Tyra visit the home of Kat's blood father. Tyra looks for a new dream. Kim's marriage brings on a sense of urgency. Daphne's betrayal brings new possibilities. Arranging a meeting with the Guild of the Slave Traders.

New bodies can be inconvenient. Out of chaos come possibilities. A deception ends and brings a new beginning. Elsbeth meets her match. Will Tyra's children come to know their mother?

Leah and Joanie escape death with Miki's help but are not sure how. A radio conversation with strange call signs leads to a rest stop and a revelation. Joanie and the MCO clash again. This story was originally posted to Sapphires Place. It didn't seem to get a lot of attention, so I thought I'd go ahead and post it here as well.

Lieutenant Ivar Bandle daily regretted the contract that lured Dawson's Bunch to the planet of Darson. Now his platoon finally had a mission to be something other than a glorified security guards. However, all is not as it seems and soon he, his men and a sylph named Sascha are on the run. All that is left for them is to march or die.

Lady Dana requires Ketrick's services and seals her fate. Tyra is forced to betray a friend who never was. Another Lord is killed and the valley teeters on the edge as the plot unfolds.
