Chapter 63 Something about Jessica

‘Is it that Jessica is not your niece and maybe even that she is like me and was not born a girl?’

‘Chrissy where on earth did that come from? Who would say that? Why would you think that?’

‘Well it is just that my family and I were talking about Aunt Judith, my dad and Darren Harper, your dad. We saw somewhere that he had three children and you know that we’d all been wondering if I was his child too.’

“Okay, ladies, let’s line up!” Coach Anna’s shout ricocheted off the walls of the Emerald Gymnastics Academy gymnasium, multiplying until there seemed to be not one coach, but dozens. Jenny snapped out of thoughts and dreams of her unintentionally cross-dressing boyfriend and darted forward with the other gymnasts. Dozens of pairs of bare feet, her own among them, slapped the blue foam mat as the girls rushed to take their positions in a blur of pumping limbs, bouncing hair, and brightly colored leotards.

Last time...
I didn't give her a chance to use it as I lifted the chair up over my head and brought it down on hers as hard as I could. She dropped like a ton of bricks! I held the remains of the chair in my hand for a moment, unsure if she was conscious or not, then dropped it. I grabbed the glass of milk out of the dumbwaiter and ran into the bathroom. Dumping it out, I filled it with water and threw it into the fire. It took at least ten trips, but I finally put the fire out. Once that was done I ran for it!

Marcie started to say something and then stopped and stared at me oddly. I was just about to ask her what she was staring at when she said, "You used to take compliments a whole lot better than that."

Chapter 60 So what?

We sat back whilst Julie logged back on.

Mum said ‘What on earth is the matter?’

‘Do you remember last week when I checked the details of Darren Harper to find out if he was still registered?’

‘Yes I’m sure we do since as a result of that Chris ended up meeting him.’

‘Well, look here what is says.’

‘Yes so what?’

‘Well?’

‘Well what?’

‘It says he was married with 3 children. We know.’

‘Yes but something isn’t right.’

I'm a small kid. I couldn't help it, it was how I was born! On top of that, I was 11 and hadn't hit puberty yet. I hated to admit it, but I really looked like a girl. In fact, you could probably call me a girl. I only had long blond hair about 2 inches down my shoulders, I only had one friend, who was a girl, and I had only girl family. My father died in a car crash while my mom was pregnant with me. In his honor, I was named after him. Salem. But that's beside the point. I need to get to the story.

Ok girl, I know you’re on your way. Week three point five and I am outta here! Doc just gave me the go ahead, and I am already packed. Phi took all my bags to her car, and all that remains is to wait for you. My exercises are going super, and the pain is gone. Even the doctor is impressed. I looked at myself in the mirror, and I couldn’t tell the difference between mine and a real girl’s.
